I stop here each time I cycle the Ohio to Erie Trail. The owners are friendly, the showers and restrooms clean, no mud at the sites but rather all are well maintained, water and electric available, prices are very reasonable, nice camp store with the basics. It's even within the delivery zone of Dirko's, who has an amazing stromboli.

I absolutely love the campground! The staff are super friendly, amenities are amazing (can’t beat a driving range with a pond), and great prices for camping etc!!!

Our organization has an annual weekend event here every summer. We are always welcomed and made to feel comfortable in this well-kept, out-of-the-way gem of a campground that has a little bit of everything. There's miniature golf, a driving range, a well-kept swimming pool, great *clean* bathrooms with actual hot water, kayaking, canoeing, and tubing on the Kokosing river. By the way, the landscaping is beautiful.Check out the camp store. DO NOT GO ANYWHERE ELSE FOR YOUR MEAT. They have very good prices on very good beef and pork for your grill, I mean *exceptional*. It's local. You can see it grazing in the nearby fields and buy it next year. ?They also have hand-dipped Velvet ice cream, Amish goodies, and pop. If you've got kids, bring lots of $5 bills. You'll need them! ? There's a sign at the end of the drive that they refill propane tanks. I didn't use that service, so I don't know. What I *do* know is that this quiet camp ground is a family and pet friendly destination in a beautiful, quiet, easily-accessible part of Ohio, and we look forward to returning to it every year. ?

They have done a great job with the campgrounds. It’s very well taken care of. My review is for the canoeing. We were out on the river on a day that I feel we shouldn’t have been unless we were very experienced. We had two young kids and two almost in their 80s in our group. The water was shallow but rushing hard in places, which made it dangerous. My parents and son flipped going through strong rapids, but because it was shallow they couldn’t get out from under the canoe - the force of the water was pushing it on them downstream. It was a very scary event. My parents were beat up and shaken up and my and dad had a gash on his arm. My 10 year old was crying and shaking and didn’t want to get back in. All of that happens, we know that. We signed the waiver. My two stars is because of how I felt our concerns/report on the river was taken when we got back. The woman we told in the office just said those are the best conditions you’ll have on that river (even though I’ve been canoeing it since I was a kid and was trying to say this time the conditions felt very different). It was just meant to be a heads up for anyone coming behind us with kids or older people that maybe it wasn’t the safest day to be out there. The way it was brushed off after such a scary incident left a bad taste in my mouth.

I been coming to this location either for river tubing or kayaking for many years. In addition to canoeing, you can rent a spot for your RV or tent, has a volleyball and basketball court, put put, picnic area, small store that sells Velvet ice cream, pool and beautiful scenery (with a small water/wind mill). It has been remodeled and looks absolutely stunning. This camp ground is owned and operated by family members. They are all very friendly and provide great service. It's maintained very clean and their prices are great. I do recommend to make reservations in advance. We rented 3 kayaks @ $35 for 2 hours and had an amazing time. This is definitely a place to visit!

We went with a group of kayakers and camped overnight. It is early in the season so it was not very busy. The owners are very friendly people and seem to appreciate your business. They are doing some nice renovations to the miniature golf course so they are keeping the place in good shape. Very reasonable rates and all the people staying there were very friendly.

Thanks Kokosing Canoe and Camp, we camped one night and canoed the river with our canoes. Everything was great, clean and nice camp site, the owner was very welcoming. It was our third year in a row and I’m looking forward to the fourth.Shake Well Canoe Team
