If I could give negative stars I would. Don’t even think about bringing your precious loved ones here. This place is horrible and run by awful sketchy people. This place is money hungry and does not care about your animals or your wellbeing whatsoever. Do not trust anything any “vet” says from this place or your animal will surely end up dead like mine. Stay far away from this horrible graveyard of a place.

I have taken one of my cats there twice now. The first time was for a UTI (she’s prone to them). They got that cleared up and offered for me to buy a food from them that has helped her not only lose some weight, but also helped with her anxiety and she has not had another UTI since. The second time I had to take her in was due to her having a mass on her belly. They got me in quickly and are always nice. They recommended surgery to remove the mass, and to be proactive they wanted to remove all of her mammary glands on that side in case it was cancerous. They were very fair with the pricing and actually gave me a bit of a discount, knowing money was tight for me. They did try to charge me more than I was originally quoted, but when I brought it up the vet fixed the price for me no problem. The biopsy came back that it was cancerous, but luckily they removed it all and she is now clear of the cancer. She freaked out having the plastic cone on, so they let me come in last minute right before close to get a little shirt type thing for her at no extra charge to hold her over until I was able to order a soft cone for her. They did forget to give me her antibiotics, but when she had her check up for her stitches they made sure I got those. She healed up nice and quick and is doing great now! We have noticed an improvement in her mood and she has been more playful again. Very thankful that they got her in as soon as possible, and that she’s feeling better! I want to have my baby around as long as possible and it makes me so happy to see her being her old self. Thank you for saving my kitty and making sure she gets a good, healthy, and full life!

I've taken multiple pets here and generally have a positive opinion, but every time I come here they're always running behind and on average I have to wait at least 30 minutes past my appointment time to even see the vet. I've waited 45 minutes in the lobby before and another time I waited 45 minutes in the patient room. I've been to at least four different doctors here, some of which I liked more than others. However, all of the front desk staff are super friendly and helpful, so no issues there. It's also pretty expensive and costs $145 just for two cat vaccines. Overall a decent animal hospital, just be aware of what you're getting into.

I have taken my dogs to this VCA Location for the past 6 years. While the care is sufficient, there is a huge lack of communication between pet parents and staff. I have never seen the same vet more than once, which leads to a very impersonal experience for me and my pet and a lot of gaps in communication and understanding. Typically the vets are very kind, but some front staff, techs, and the managers are quite rude and condescending. I will definitely be transferring care elsewhere.

We were in town for treatment at The James when our dog became ill. They got us in quickly and help relieve our fears. Great staff!

Horrible. Ignored my concerns about anal gland rupturing and being infected, which it ruptured 1 day after the visit and became infected immediately. I specifically asked about the anal gland issues and they said they weren't concerned about it. They gave my dog 75mg pills but labeled the bottle 100mg. They did not treat my anxiety pup with the care she needed. She was totally traumatized after the visits. They also gave her a sedative and didn't tell me. She was all messed up and wouldn't respond to me for hours. When they gave her back to me, she couldn't walk at all. No idea what they did to her. Horrible experience, horrible care, horrible place.

This place has become a money grab, what a shame. This is the first vet clinic I brought my dog to. At the time I really liked the personalized treatment my dog recieved. But the second I rejected their suggestion to drug my dog for treatment I was told not to come back and they claim that no matter where I go now he'll have to be drugged up because of the notes they put in his records. So challenge accepted we're leaving this clinic to find a place that understands dog anxiety a little better, and goes slow with the dog. A place that allows us to be in the room for the full service and because this clinic has traumatized my dog we'll have to spend some free time working with him to show him not all clinics are bad. We plan to start doing walk throughs with random ones and let him meet the staff until we find one we like. Then since his nails are just too hard to clip we've decided we're going to be clipping them at home. We figure it can't be worse than VCA since they butcher his nails everytime anyway. So here's the story... yesterday I brought my dog in for an appointment, his first appointment since getting neutered. He was a little anxious so they took him into a back room to examine him and cut his nails, well supposedly they had to "muzzle" him to cut his nails. He didn't bite anyone or snap at anyone they said it was just a safety precaution. Now they say they won't see him unless he's drugged, because they've labeled him as a "caution" dog.Dogs perspective, last time he went to the vet he was separated from his family for a day. When for the past year of his life prior to that he's always had someone familiar around him everyday at any given time (Probably a little scary for him). Now two months later we're at the vet again and again they seperate him, of course he's going to be nervous. Then they force him down and muzzle him. He has no idea who these people are, what a muzzle is (Since I've never had to muzzle him), and now these strange people are chopping his nails hurting him (I heard him cry out while waiting), they cut at least two nails (that I saw because now he won't let me touch his paws, so they clearly traumatized him) too short and hit the quick (I could see the white substance they used to stop the bleeding on his nails for the paw he let me touch). So the way I see it. Because they want to get things done super fast (which is why I assume they keep hitting his quick when cutting his nails (because they're not taking the time to do it correctly)) and move on to the next patient so they can get paid (turn and burn). They have in the process traumatized my dog and now they want me to pay for it? No thanks, time to move on.Almost forgot to mention, I was under the impression the drugs were a free trial, so when I called in yesterday to explain that I'm not giving him drugs and I don't want the drugs they gave me they got combative with me about it. Which I thought was completely unnecessary and unprofessional. If I don't want to drug my dog up then that should be good enough, my reasons for not wanting to give the medicine to my dog should really be of no concern to them I believe. They also did not email me my dogs complete medical history like I asked them too (he's only a year so it can't be that much lol), this place has really gone down hill since his first visit.

We board our dog Xena with VCA when out of town—this is one of our only options, since Xena is no-contact.Katie and Kara are responsive and appear to really care about my pup. They appreciate my needs and do their best to communicate with me and give Xena what she needs.Katie went above and beyond to provide us with holiday pics!A special thank you to both Kara and Katie! The front desk staff are always so helpful as well.

Not to thrilled with them ! They are understaffed and takes forever to get an appointment and feel like the doctor I had for my fur baby could be a little friendlier. The nicest employees who I give a five star to is the one at the front desk . They definitely have people skills and very friendly.

We absolutely love this office! The entire staff treats our little Bo like their own. He has been with them since we brought him home at 12 weeks, and we couldn't be happier with the care and checkups that they have provided him. I used to get anxiety when dealing with my old vet for our previous dog, but I (and my dog!) love coming here because we know our dog is in great hands. Dr. Pruchnicki is amazing!

I love this place. The staff is amazing. The prices are fair. The only reason I didn't not give 5 stars. I recently took my elderly cat here. She has an upper respitory infection. She was prescribed a compound antibiotic. They use a pharmacy in New Jersey. Long story short its been 3 days and I'm still waiting for my antibiotic. I paid extra to have it shipped faster as well. It's expected to be here in 2 more days. So 5 day wait on antibiotics for an elderly cat. It's frustrating because this is a corporate decision to use this pharmacy. It's not my local VCAs fault corporate is stupid. But I leave this message for people in the future. If you feel your cats needs antibiotics, this may not be the place to go.
