Small nice little place. Fun to take the kid's to let them play with the puppies. I will say little/ alot more expensive if you are looking for something simple for your pet. But for convenience it may be worth it.

Excellent location. The puppy that I looked at was AKC-bred, with parents that have undergone some OFA testing (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals; they test for hips, knees, eyes, etc.). While the parents arent show-winners, it appears they are selling healthy puppies from well-bred parents. The puppy packet contained all the information I needed to search everything I wanted to know. Blue Ribbon Kennels bred the puppy I looked at, and they are a licensed high-volume breeder that undergoes regular AKC inspections.
The birds are also well-socialized; I almost bought one myself. This Petland offers a good selection of brands and carry Orijen pet food as well. 10 out of 10!

A little kid was running around without supervision picking up hamsters, hurting them, MIXING them with guinea pigs (the guinea pigs will kill a hamster) and the staff wasn’t paying attention at all and had no care. Most of the staff was playing with puppies. It was great to see where their real priorities are, playing with puppies that will die in 4 years of a preventable genetic disease due to the puppy mills they get them from, rather than taking care of the small animals being abused by children and adults with zero supervision. At least the staff were nice I guess, but it would be nice if they cared about all animals not just the “cuter” ones

This experience was pleasant! Although it raises some eyebrows. I went in today to look around. I'm new to the area and had never hard of petland before, so I wanted to see what it was like. Upon coming in, I was greeted, however both staff members looked busy. There were 3 more staff members in the back, all of which were taking care of the puppies. They also looked busy, but still took time to show a little bit of love to each puppy. In one of the play rooms in the middle of the store was a puppy. He/she smelled horrible and was whining. I didn't know what he was doing there until I overheard a lady talking to one of the staff members. She was returning him because he was too much for her to handle, which I can understand since not everyone is set to have a puppy. What concerned me was that she ended up buying a different puppy. I find the situation odd but I don't know the whole story. Outside of the puppies, all the other animals were well taken care of! It's really cool that I can pet all the animals there. I didn't want to pick them up since I wasn't sure if that was allowed. I do wish they had reptiles and a bit more of a selection for pet supplies. I just might come back and get an animal here once I get settled in!

As a person who was swooned by the adorable puppies, please do not go here to find your next family member.
I purchased a Maltese from this location in 2019 and due to sourcing their puppies from poor breeders/mills, I lost her at only 4 years old to a genetic autoimmune disease that her parents should have been tested for prior to breeding for puppies. Save yourself the heartache and just do not buy that puppy in the window. I don’t regret buying her (she was a clearance puppy at $375) but I regret financing the business that supports the breeding of unhealthy dogs that cannot live a long fulfilling life.
They will show you AKC and USDA papers but if you dig a little deeper you can find that many of their sources fail inspections or are not truly breeding for the health and safety of their dogs. Any dog can be AKC, but that does not mean they will be healthy unless their parents are checked.
Shop and adopt responsibly please.

they get their dogs from puppy mills, to trap em in a cage, with barely anything and sell them to anybody while they also don’t even get to go out anywhere they stay in that cage unless someone wants to play with them

They will sell dogs and pen them, but won't sell mice, mealworms or any live creatures to feed other animals. It's called the circle of life. Its ridiculous!! Lost our business.

Switched to franchise recently. Got rid of member rewards , got rid of “zignature” kangaroo, got rid of the reptiles , fish … feels totally different now….I will not continue to ship here anymore …. This was the last straw … many of the dogs for sale had mini hernias that were surgically fixed ( which is ok , but why did so many have hernias we saw , maybe 2/3 out of 10 )Taking my business somewhere else . Good luck , I see this store going out of business in less then 2 years . Poof
