Under no circumstances would I recommend Hilliard Assisted Living. The only thing that they seem to be proficient in is sending late notices without an invoice and trying to get as much money from you as possible.

After what I saw today, I would hesitate to recommend this facility. While on my way to Target, I saw a gentleman in a wheelchair in the center of the road connecting Target to Trueman Blvd. He was s-l-o-w-l-y using his feet to propel his wheelchair forward a few inches at a time.He was at VERY HIGH RISK of being hit by a car, causing injury to himself or others. I parked, then helped him make it to Target and then drove him back to the facility when he was done.I informed the person at the front desk of Hilliard Assisted Living of the dangerous position he had been in and she said there had already been 3 calls from Target. Her attitude seemed to be this is just the way he is. Why is no one from Hilliard Assisted Living helping to keep him out of danger? He is in ASSISTED living, not independent living. He most certainly needs assistance. I don't know the rules related to this issue, but if Target is calling them to alert them to the danger he in in, isn't there something they could do? A friend told me I should have called the Police.I was told he can't be prevented from leaving the building. So if he wants to go sit in his wheelchair in the middle of Trueman Blvd. in the dark is that okay as well? What type of behavior would it take before Hilliard Assisted Living would step in?If the gentleman cannot understand the danger of being in a wheelchair in the middle of the road going to Target, it is possible he needs to be in Memory Care, not Assisted Living. Not my call. But he definitely needs more help than he is receiving. I hope they find a way to keep him safe.

Have not had a loved one in the care of this facility, but upon driving in the beginning of rush hour traffic I watched as this bus struggled to remain in the lines. this particular area can be very dangerous during rush hour when not paying attention because cars just jump in front of you without warning & traffic slows down to a stop without notice either! I honked my horn showing her that I seen her on her phone while actively driving, & she rolled her eyes at me then continued playing on her phone!! I ended up next to her again about 2 minutes later and she was STILL on her phone! So if your loved ones get on a bus through this facility, I’d ask that they NOT have her as the driver! This happened on 10/10/2023 at 3:56 p.m!

This is a very very nice place: new (7 years old), modern, reasonable and humanistic layout, fresh air inside(no stink smell); There are big public places such as the dining room, lobby, etc. The price is reasonable for people seeking long term care (but we are seeking short term care, we don't want to bring any furniture to any place, except clothes and medications), who need to take their furniture to their own room. The food is good but the dessert is too sweet, I wish there were more vegetables being able to provide. We can hear lots of automobile noises in some rooms next to i270. In fact, I highly recommend this community to others who are seeking long term care. And at the same time, if this community can provide some flexible provisions for its customers such as arranging two or three rooms with furniture and a low community fee for seeking short term care people, that will be very good.

If I could give 0 stars I would. This is an absolutely awful place--do not put your loved ones here. It was no only a horrible experience for my grandmother, but for all the family every time we visited her. Care was negligent, unkind, and unprofessional. HAL is depressing. I can't begin to express what a relief it was when we were able to move her elsewhere.

Paige is awesome! She was so engaged, helpful and listened well. I didn't feel pressure from her which gave me the ease to be honest about my needs should we decide not to move there. Really appreciated that! Loved everything about it!

In this year of Covid we can hardly call our visit a tour! That's unfortunate as all guidelines related to choosing a facility are geared toward personal observation of the facility, staff and residents. We will be making our selection this year in the dark not having the benefit of personal observation. These survey responses reflect our inability to even walk through the front doors!

As an outside provider to this facility I have to say I have been impressed with the facilities and the care my patients have received. The staff on the Memory Care unit as well as the staff in the AL have always been attentive and responded quickly to the needs of my patients and I have never had a family complain to me about the care their loved one received. I would recommend this facility to my own parents! The decor is up to date and very comfortable and the facility has always been clean! The staff are friendly and attentive! The actvities provided to the residents are appropriate for their level of care . The rooms are spacious ! The meals are good with a nice variety!

I recently worked for a home care agency that had several clients that were residents at Hilliard Assisted Living and Memory Care. Each client had been very pleased with their care and the attention the staff gave them. I know they all highly recommend this community!

Visited a family friend that has since moved to this community. I could not have been more impressed! The community is beautiful and the staff is caring and attentive. Our friends were thrilled to share all of the activities and special outings that they had scheduled for the month. It was sweet to see how excited they were. I highly recommend this community!

My grandparents have lived here for over a year, and have had multiple items, including prescription meds stolen from their room. Do NOT send family members there!!!
