I'm not sure what has happened to this office(Heath). My pet has been here for over 12 years. I've requested records be sent to another office. They claim they can't find his records. Also, what business does not have a voice message stating business hrs. , name of business etc. ? They will try to squeeze money out of you with unnecessary tests. I do not recommend!

This place is terrible. Don’t bother. Can’t keep up with their schedule (cancelled twice on me in the same week AFTER calling the day in between both cancelled appointments to “confirm” the appointment) and will hang up on you if you don’t answer “would you like to reschedule?” fast enough for them. Also won’t release my patient chart. Called me the unprofessional one. Rude rude rude and don’t care about the animals obviously. Not too sure where Dr. Gilbert went because the UNPROFESSIONAL on the phone said there had never been anyone but Dr. Underwood - whom I’ve never met.
When I made it to the clinic, I asked “are you the one who hung up on me?” All she did was smile soooooo… stay away from this place.

I loved my visits here and the vet the first few visits, I’m pretty sure my vet was Dr.Gilbert she was absolutely amazing. Kathleen and another girl were assistants and were also so so caring patient and kind. More recently it was an entirely different set of people that were less than caring and did not communicate well. I payed $500 for bloodwork the visit and an antibiotic only to receive no follow up on the bloodwork and its 13 days later. I call this morning and am told “we don’t call if the bloodwork is not concerning” the reasoning for the bloodwork was to see if an ongoing issue had settled or lessened, something wasn’t normal in the first place. My previous experiences have gone so. Much differently. I’ve received a phone call, been sent information around issues we see to further educate me, and I have been met with care with my questions and have seen a lot of care in response from previous staff… I called today and told the tech about my poor experience when asking for the results of bloodwork and told her that the culture of the building wasn’t the same and she said “okay who can I transfer your information to” just again very sped up, very expensive, and no care for the animal or the owner. I don’t complain about pricing often and I’ve paid similar bills here , it’s well worth it when the care and time spent is there, but it’s not there anymore. I understand it’s busy times and staffing is hard I work in customer service and retail at that, but slowing down and showing up for the people you have in front of you is how you retain a clientele, how you keep people coming back. I am devastated at the way my dog and I were treated and will not return. I’m not sure what happened to the previous staff but they were seriously amazing.

We’ve been going to these guys for five years now. Have spent 3000 in a 3 month period more than once. Not including all the small stuff. We found a new vet we liked better that had better prices and so we called to have all our records sent over. (The only way they would do it. They refused to print off records even for a fee) Got to the new vet today and they asked us about records. I told them we had everything sent over. She showed me what they sent… 3 pages of chicken scratch hand written notes that weren’t even decipherable and had no important information about shot records or procedures. I’m sorry the old man had to come out of retirement. But he needs to get a better staff. That was very disrespectful.

Highly recommend! My dog started having an issue with her ears just DAYS before I’m supposed to leave for boot camp. Explained the situation and they squeezed me in!! They took a load of stress off of my shoulders and now that’s one less thing I have to worry about while I’m gone. Happy owner and fur baby here, highly recommend!

It’s unfortunate that I have to write this review and give this kind of rating. I was very loyal to Underwood for 4 years. I recommended them to everyone I knew who had pets and needed a vet. Recently, their branch on 21st street closed and it came with a lot of unappreciated changes.Firstly, they no longer do surgeries because of the other clinic closing. So they’re half useless as a vet clinic in this. Secondly, they are beginning to pre-charge patients for appointments if they no call/no showed an appointment recently. This wouldn’t be a problem normally, except they are insisting upon implementing this rule suddenly after many months of not being subjected to this pre-charge, and no communication was given that this would be a requirement of me (and EVERYONE) in the case of a no call/no show.I want to make it clear that I feel it is no fault of most of the staff. Dr Gilbert, Sam, and Kathleen have all been AMAZING vet/vet assistants. This change in the way this company is managed is the fault of management, who couldn’t even keep their surgery clinic open due to staffing issues.It is unfortunate to see that managers are poor at their job, no matter where. It is also unfortunate that I will now be making sure to specifically NOT RECOMMEND Underwood to people looking for vets.I do recommend you restructure management, pay your employees more, and MAKE RULES CLEAR TO YOUR CLIENTS.

A few years ago, I came home to my cat dying. I called Underwood on 21st and they agreed to see him immediately. I drove straight over with my cat but when I got there, they wouldn’t let me in. They called me, saying that the on-call vet refused to see me because they were leaving for the day even though they agreed to take the apt and didn’t even bother to call me. So there I am, in the parking lot of this vet with my cat dying in pain. They couldn’t be bothered to look at him or humanely euthanize him if needed. Instead, they said sorry about your luck. The owner only reached out via Facebook post when I put the review on their FB page. Now I never miss a chance to tell people to avoid them. Don’t waste your time with this place. I’d give them 0 stars if I could.
