Well, as far as the sales rep who helped us and the team AT Lowe's, they were pretty stellar. It is the third party they contract out that was absolutely a nightmare. I bought a washer and dryer to be installed, only for them to show up and drop it off without setting it up, telling me the parts are not going to work. I said OK, what do I need to get? He gives me a short list of what I needed to get and how to fix it myself. I figured it didn't sound to hard and I could do it. Turns out that it was a little tougher than expected and I had to have them come back out to set it up for Me. This is the second time I took off work to do so. They set it up, but the clamps were so lose that there was a burning smell when the dryer was turned on, so yet again had to go to the store to by metallic tape to close the seal because they did not bring it?? Overall, get a better third party installer and do a quality check once and a while.

I went to Lowe's to buy carpet for one room. After picking the carpet, set up for them to measure. I was given an estimate of $1600 which was fine. They wouldn't allow me to pay for estimate without my credit card even though I know the number because they said they would need chip on card but yet I could call in and pay?!?! Okay, whatever so I call, the customer service asks me to hold and after 5 minutes or so, the line goes dead. This happened 3 times. Finally, it was paid and I was given a time between 8 and 12. The guy measured and said someone would call within two days. I called them on the fourth day since I hadn't heard anything. The estimate was now $2700.00 for one room! I guess that's why they charge to measure, they are going to jack the price and you feel obligated to go forward but I'm not. I will buy everything someplace else from now on, including my carpet.

On April 17, we special ordered an entrance and a storm door from Lowe's. on June 7, the installer took out my old door and started to install the new door only to find out that someone ordered the hinges in the door on the wrong side. So the new door is temporary installed. On July 10, we went to the store and the clerk said that it had come in on July 8. Today is July 17 and we have not heard from the installer or the manager, Jeff. We have called Jeff 2 times and he is never there and we have left our name and phone number for him to call us. Guess what...no phone call. We do not recommended your store for any metal door purchases. All I need is my doors installed. SOMEONE HELP....You have our $2700 for the door purchase.

Lowes was very ready for black Friday. Free donuts, coffee, Santa, well stocked and registers open. All employees must have been on the floor working.

Jeff is a lying liar face who lies. Why can't you admit your faults Jeff... I just paid 1,300$ for a fridge I don't want because you assured me the online pictures were wrong. No Jeff, you are wrong. 1,300 is a lot of money. I will encourage everyone in Hamilton avoid this store like the plague because Jeff the manager is incompetent.

I'm still looking for flooring, so I thought I'd try this location. There were plenty of vehicles in the parking lot, but customers were few. I certainly didn't find what I wanted but I noticed something that the other Lowe's didn't seem to have: Allen+Roth flooring. I remember the brand, which seems to be their own, for bathroom vanities and outdoor furniture. My mum had a vanity and it seemed to be quite well-made with solid wood. Those prices were reasonable, if the brand's quality holds in laminate flooring. (Despite HGTV's desire for hard wood floors, I remember taking Saturday to remove was, clean the floors, and wax them and leave them for several hours while they dried. No thanks!) I had someone pass and I heard them ask if I needed help finding anything. I like that about Lowe's. I'm never in doubt about getting help. It might take a while, but employees are genuinely concerned.

I've been to this Lowe's several times over the past year. It is almost never crowded. I'd say routinely there are associates standing in front of their checkout lanes greeting me and asking if they can help when I walk through. I never see lines to check out or have to wait/search for someone to help me find things. Of course, it's laid out like most Lowe's so finding things isn't too tricky. There isn't much to say beyond that - it's Lowe's, a known quantity.
