This is a review about not only McKinley Field but the tennis courts, playground and the stretch of park area going west on Goodale Blvd. The area makes good use of a narrow piece of land along the south side of Goodale Blvd. Also the parking area is fairly large and there are restrooms.

Love coming here to enjoy a quick lunch in the park... but people in cars, please consider turning off your engines while you enjoy your time here!Update: people are still idling their cars with the windows rolled up (and presumably the AC on) in the summer... ☹️

A good park in Grandview, but not as good as Wyman. It is pretty spacious and even has some railroad tracks than can be visited from time to time.

Small park with a jungle gym, kid swings, picnic tables, park benches, tennis courts and a little-league sized BB diamond. There is a small shelter with electrical power which is locked when not in use. (I'm not sure if the shelter is for rent.) Wi-fi is free and provided by the local library. It has decent restroom facilities as well.

Lush, green and inviting, McKinley field is a narrow & long park with a playground, picnic area nice for eating take-out or A PICNIC!Baseball field is adjacent to the west of the playground as well as a couple fenced tennis courts. There is really something else cool nearby - a community garden, which began its life as a Victory Garden during the Second World War - residents apply for and garden plots beginning every spring.Back to McKinley Field: The playground is frequently visited during the day by families and their children and the adjacent parking lot by city workers who want some place to relax and eat their food for lunch. It's a very serene place with a beautiful canopy of trees, green, and so calming. Just the right spot and a only few minutes drive to get away from the hustle and bustle of a downtown Columbus workday.

This is a nice park. It's a good use of otherwise oddly shaped space - long and kind of narrow, along some train tracks. It offers a tennis court and a baseball diamond. There is a cute little playground with slides and climbing options, toddler swings, and traditional swings, which is located near a small shelter house, which was in use during our visit. It is adjacent to Wallace Gardens, so, at this time of year, you can see the beautiful green fields full of growing plants. There are a myriad of picnic tables and benches between the sports fields and the playground. A real bonus is all of the terrific trees providing a lot of comfortable shade all around. A parking lot is available here. The larger playground is located sort of caddy corner down the street at Wyman Woods, but this was much less crowded and part of it was shaded, so those were some nice perks on a hot summer day!

This is in a very odd spot. It is, well, in an industrial waste land. And the park itself is just a big open green space, with a little locked-up bathroom and shelter with no tables. (There is a horrifying portapotty too.) There's only a couple of benches. But, there's a great big playground and a huge parking lot. Lots of slides, some swings. Baby K loved it. We'll be back just for the slides. It can't be handy for the not-so-near houses, and it's not a good spot for local workers to have lunch. But the playground is worth a detour.
