A very humbling place. Shame of a massacre surrounded by a cemetery of soldiers and their families who served this great nation all the way back to the Revolutionary war. I was here just before noon, and the church bells went off in town at 12n with a lengthy musical. Very timely. Was also here just before memorial weekend and all the flags were out for the veteran graves. Amazing and necessary historical site.

Being able to visit such a historic site is amazing. A quiet little village that has been around since before the Revolutionary War holds so much history and some awesome small town vibes. This place is like everyone's idea of mainstreet USA.

Gnadenhutten Park & Museum was an amazing place to visit. We were fortunate and visited during the pioneer days and had an incredible experience. This place tells about some very little known history involving Ohio, the Revolutionary War, the Moravian Church and Native Americans. I won't get into too much detail but I will highly recommend checking it out.

On our list for our first stop was Gnadenhutten State Memorial Park. The museum was closed but that's okay. Trying to stay on our budget I prefer not to go into a museum with admission fees plus there is signage along the park that gives you info needed. We strolled around the small park, looked into windows of the Meeting House, a cabin and the cemetery.Free to enjoy outside! A step back into history and story of the 90 Indians including women & children that was massacred.

A little piece of unknown history. I had never heard of this park until my sister suggested we go there for a little day trip. It's off the beaten path but worth the visit if you are a history buff. There is a nice museum and the gentleman working the day we visited was very informative and eager to share his knowledge.
