Upon arrival the staff was very unwelcoming and rude. They acted like our business was nothing to them. We got stuck with old carts that had no windshields and barely ran, the tee markers were set in the rough on every hole. The clubhouse told us we couldn’t finish 18 holes in 5 hours with 3 people and carts had to be in at 5pm. I understand it’s February golf in Ohio but I would advise others to think twice before spending your money at this establishment.

Played here for a 1:00pm tee time with 3 other guys. We showed up and they let us know they had a late start and they were behind on carts. We waited outside and used the practice green. We were understanding and didn’t care too much. We ended up teeing off at 1:30. They had the winter tees out and the course was below average condition but it was a cheap course and we didn’t care. On the 16th tee box a man that worked there drove up to us and told us we had to bring our cart back in. He said all carts had to be turned in at 5. We said we were never told that and asked to finish our round. He acted like we were being crazy and told us there was no way we could keep playing with our carts. He claimed it said the carts had to be back at 5 where we signed for carts. We told him we never signed for carts because we waited outside for a cart for 30 minutes. He said it didn’t matter. He was VERY rude. My friends and I agreed we would never be coming back there. They expected us to finish a round in 3.5 hours and would not compensate us for the holes we missed because of there mistakes. Bad course, worse staff. Don’t play here.

I don’t care what you decide but save yourself and play somewhere else. They do tee times every 3 minutes? Think about that… LOG JAM. They had a group of 6 out there too. Pace of play makes you forget about how terrible of condition the course is in… I would have rather watched the history channel for 7 hours straight than play that joke of a course. Will be a cornfield in about a year anyway so thank goodness. Also they have 2 “rangers” in 1 cart? Who does that? Then only people 80+ can work there just for the cherry on top.

Garbage course and poorly managed. I've played here 5 times and each time I've teed off 25 minutes late because nobody manages the first hole. Don't play here

Horrible course, we paid for 18 holes but decided to leave after 9 and cut our losses. Bad tee boxes, un-kept greens, and run down carts. We were even warned to stay away from the owners as they were playing there and would get angry if we got near them, and would likely turn the sprinklers on us. Not a good place to golf.

Where do I start…This has to be the worst golf experience I’ve ever had.The tee boxes were uneven, beat up, and so stiff you could barely get a tee into the ground. The fairways were hard as rock so any ball you hit would roll 50 yards further than expected (not always a good thing). It’s clear that there is no maintaining of the course other than the occasional mow to make it barely “playable”. The cart was covered in dirt and had chunks taken out of the seat. There is no chance that this course warrants a $45 price for 18 w/cart.The staff was nice when checking us in but that was the only good experience about the place.Do not recommend

Kinda pricey. Decent layout on back 9. Left after 9 holes. 3 hours for 9 holes played. Stacking groups with no space at start. Weird managing.

8/11/2023 - 7:50 Tee Time - Group of 3Wish I could give this place 0 stars. They have a starter who doesn’t space out tee offs and a ranger who doesn’t enforce pace of place. Literally took us 3.5 hours just to play 9 holes ON A FRIDAY MORNING!!! WIll never be back again. What a complete JOKE.

I played there on the morning of August 1st, around 9:00am. This was my first visit to the course, and I'd read many critical reviews the night before.Overall, it wasn't as bad for us as others had commented, but there are several things - some good and some not so good - that stood out.1) August 1st was a Tuesday and according to the Jamaica Run webpage, that's supposed to be "Senior Tuesday" where seniors pay $25.00 for 18 holes with a cart. As our party paid our fee, I noticed the other members of our party were charged $30.00. When it was my turn, I literally showed the clerk the rates page from the JR webpage, where it clearly said $25.00 - He responded, "Oh, that's an old promotion - we're not doing that anymore."That's cool, promotions don't last forever. BUT, if it's over, then someone from the Course should have updated the rates webpage. OR, failing that, post a highly visible sign at the checkout desk that that offer isn't active any longer. It was a situation the clerk shouldn't have been put in, but also a missed opportunity to impress some first time visitors to the course by knocking $5.00 bucks off of our fees. And three days later...its still on the rates page....2) The course property is beautiful.3) Less so the actual condition of the course. The fairways and most of the greens were fine, some of the sand traps were pretty barren and hardened and the cart paths seemed like they belonged to a golf course in Kiev.4) The snack tent staff was great! The two women were hustling and pretty organised. They were friendly and the hot dogs and sodas really hit the spot after the 9th hole.5) Yes, I'll be back... I understand the course management is aware of the opportunities that need attention and things don't change overnight. Good luck to Jamaica Run as you address the issues.I look forward to my next visit!

The older gentlemen that works in the pro shop are all rude. I get that you all hate your life and make minimum wage but it’s no reason to scream at customers and rush them on the very first hole when we were teeing off 5 minutes early. I play this course almost every weekend, due to it being so close to my house even though it’s very run down and not well kept. I never ever write a review but these guys are so unprofessional it’s comical. I’m keeping all the old geezers in my prayers because if they talk crazy like that again to the wrong person they aren’t gonna make it home to their miserable wives.

Played 18 holes with a cart. First time playing out here in a couple years and it’s definitely gone downhill. The cart paths are covered with potholes, the bunkers are more or less unplayable, and the tee boxes and greens are in very rough shape. In my opinion it is in the worst shape out of any public course I’ve played in the Miami Valley and I’ve played all of them. Not to mention, the staff was extremely rude and unpleasant. My advice would be to not waste your time playing here and go play at another local course like Mound, Pipestone, or Heatherwoode for around the same price and 5x better conditions. My advice to the staff would be to learn to treat your customers better because I have talked to multiple people that have had similar experiences to me. Not a good way to retain customers and it’s sad because I remember it being a pretty nice course and good experience playing here just a few years ago.

Went for Father's Day. It was overbooked. Besides that, it was a nice course. Some of the greens had gopher tracks & it was kind of wet in places, which was weird because it hadn't rained previously. It was the most expensive course I've played this year & it wasn't worth what I paid.

People were super nice, but the course, and especially the cart paths, were in need of help.
