I’ve only been here for the restaurant and I’ve been a few times. Not an expansive menu but what they do have is wonderful. Service is always friendly but it does take a while to get in and out of there. Highly recommend the crispy chicken sandwich!!

This place is beautiful. Updated and very nice. The room was spacious and well kept. Nicer and more updated than many major chains. In the midst of Kenyon College campus, the views of the architecture and grounds don't disappoint. The beds are comfortable. The room temperature is easily adjusted and not loud. There is a small restaurant in the Inn, but it was closed'a the campus was in break. There were a couple local food prongs in walking distance and Mt. Vernon is minutes away.I fell in love immediately.Noteworthy details: Historic Inn

I didn't stay at the Kenyon Inn but my husband and I and two others had a meal there. We had tickets to attend a concert in nearby Mount Vernon, OH. I thought I had made a reservation for that evening for dinner at a fine dining restaurant in Mount Vernon. However, something happened I'm not sure what, but my reservation was on their books for the next night, NOT the night of the concert. They were very nice about it, but at that late date, there wasn't anything they could do about it as, predictably their restaurant was completely booked that evening. So I called The Kenyon Inn and we ended up going there. It is a little difficult in the dark to navigate finding the restaurant as the GPS wanted to take us to the front of the Kenyon Inn, where there is no parking and it was pitch black. Once we finally got our bearings...we went into the building. We were greeted by the nicest and friendliest receptionist...whose name I did not get...unfortunately. She is also a server in the restaurant in addition to working on the desk to take care of the overnight guests. The dining room is small, intimate and there are very comfortable chairs! Kayla was our server. She did a wonderful job. The food selection was nice and varied. There were features offered not on the menu and the other three people had the evening special of twin tournedos of beef. They all enjoyed it immensely. The carrot/apple soup of the day was excellent. I had the lemon garlic pasta and shrimp with the strawberry salad. The salad was very good, however, instead of strawberries, I was served small tomatoes...it is November, after all. The salad dressing was exceptional. The lemon garlic pasta and shrimp was delicious and I'd order it again any day! Kayla took care of us with ample time to drive back to Mount Vernon with time to spare for the concert to start. It is always nice to dine at either restaurant because the food and service is excellent at both. Know you have options up there in these two charming small towns! My husband and friends were happy I was able to think fast enough to pivot and make this very last minute change in our dinner plans. I've dined at The Kenyon Inn before and I have always liked it! I knew where to call!

Stopped in for a great lunch. Historic location on college campus. Was disappointed in the pumpkin creme brulee desert. There was no torched sugar, which is what creme brulee means.

I'd love to give a review of this place if they ever responded to my inquiries. I've attempted on three separate occasions now to book a reservation and haven't even received a reply. Can't even get a hold of anyone via phone on location.Noteworthy details: Answer the phone.

My wife and I had lunch here because our regular restaurant was closed. NEW regular restaurant! The meal was fantastic! They had a Korean BBQ taco appetizer that was absolutely AMAZING! Can't wait till we eat here again!

What a gem! We stayed one night on the 1st floor this past weekend. Room was very clean. The beds and pillows were very comfortable and each of the mattresses encased in new and clean covers and plush bedding. We experienced such pleasant service (both with the hotel and the restaurant)! After a long night of traveling from the West Coast, they were so welcoming and accommodating. Mary Ann (at the front desk) and ALL of the servers at the restaurant, had great recommendations and showed sincere kindness and attention to detail. I was very impressed with the quality and flavor combinations of all of the dishes I tried in their dining room. Ambiance was casual but still elegant in every way!
