Told me it was an acceptable option to put my cat down as it was a very bad pleural effusion. I said I wasn’t doing anything like that because it just didn’t make sense. They recommend I go to Medvet. I’m so glad I trusted my gut because it just happened to turn out that my cat has asthma. I had to take them from the urgent care visit at norton rd vet to Medvet after already spending $320+ with Norton just to spend over $800 at an emergency vet for the correct diagnosis. The entire first 2-4 hours we struggled to get the paperwork sent over from Norton to Medvet after so many calls placed by the staff at Medvet and myself. At this point it was an emergency, being at an emergency vet. Medvet was extremely disappointed, as was I, at how careless the diagnosis was made and how we couldn’t get the paperwork right away. I have called Norton rd vet many times with my concerns and was promised I would receive a call back as my cat needs ongoing care for his asthma with a primary vet. Now I’m not able to trust Norton because of this and I have given them ample time to figure it out so I have to find a new vet. I’m BEYOND disappointed and quite frankly I’m very upset over this entire situation. I wish I just took my cat to medvet as they had his best interest at heart. I would have at least liked an apology for the carelessness that could have costed us our cat. Awful. I wouldn’t trust them with anything beyond preventative care. Needing a new vet for my cat with asthma and my dog for preventative care. Super great considering I’m dealing with health issues on top of all of this. Beyond disappointing.

We have been going here for a decade, and see Dr. Jew (pronounced JOE), and he is awesome, as is all the doctors and staff! Shout out to Dr. Logan and Dr. Borders as well. I give this location 5 stars for the following reasons;
1. Incredibly compassionate staff. We have never had a bad experience here with staff or otherwise. They love what they do, and how they treat you and your furry family members really proves this.
2. They spend time with you. It isn't just in and out with these folks. They want to hear your concerns, no matter what it is. They spend the time addressing your concerns, take their time to explain the plan/possibilites/thoughts etc, and we never feel rushed.
3. Did I say compassionate? It's worth mentioning again, because when it comes to end of life, these folks really take it seriously. They explain the process, give your beloved furry family member soft blankets, and allow you to dictate the timing. They never rush you. They go so far as to have a candle in the front area, that tells other clients there is an end of life happening, and to please respect this by keeping the noise level down. I have never seen this at a vets office before, and this small touch makes all the difference.
4. Convenient. It's close to our home, and easy to get to as it's located on a major arterial road. (Norton Rd, South of Hall Rd.)
5. Variety of services. You can have any service for your pet done here. They have a charity which you can donate to and have your dogs nails trimmed.
I would take away 1 star for the pricing; they are expensive! With that said, you get what you pay for, so another 5 stars for the level of excellency they adhere to! That's a total of 10 stars and they are worth every penny we spend here.
I don't rave often, but this is where you need to take your pets if you want quality, compassionate, and excellent service.

Great place, got in quickly and they had already obtained records from prior vet. They were great with my dog and I thought prices were fair.

The team at Norton, including the staff, vet techs, and veterinarians, are exceptionally compassionate and a pleasure to work with. The pricing is also quite reasonable, and the veterinarians consider costs when devising a treatment plan for your pet. However, this practice was not the ideal choice for my family. Being a small practice, it often presents challenges in scheduling appointments, and it has been difficult to secure consistent care for unplanned visits such as illnesses.
When I brought in my puppy, which necessitated frequent visits early on, the appointments were prolonged, with extensive waits to see the doctor.
In summary, while they are a commendable veterinary practice, the issues noted above meant they were not the most suitable option for our family's needs.

Yesterday, we were having an emergency with our beloved Labrador and contacted this vet since they were close to us. They were not our normal vet but they got us right in and treated us as if we had been going there as a regular patient. The doctor and the vet tech Jacob were extremely kind when they helped transition our boy over the rainbow bridge and allowed us as much time as we needed; extremely patient and never rushed us. When we decide to add a new furry family member in the future (not anytime soon), we will absolutely go here.

Very kind and professional. They tell you as much information as they are able to and they haven't pressured me to undergo unnecessary scanning and testing.

Where do I start. If I could give 10 stars I would. My girl Ellie got injured on a tomato cage. Needed stitches. I called on a Sunday morning…. And they got us right in. Very caring friendly and professional. I think we have a new veterinarian….. well worth the drive from Springfield!!
