I never write bad reviews so this is unfortunate. I've been getting my hair colored for over 10 years and while I've had bad haircuts, this is the only experience with my color being botched. When looking for someone who specializes in balayages, I called into Tame and was referred to Grace. When I got to the salon, I showed her photos of my hair fresh after I usually get it done and she said she could do it. However, I did not end up with a balayage.. I ended up with chunky, uneven highlights that came out patchy and orange. I usually have a blonde balayage blended very well due to my naturally dark hair. I expressed my dislike and after review, other stylist confirmed it wasn't what I'd asked for and shared some constructive comments on where she went wrong. They said they would fix it so I went in early on a Saturday to have multiple people work on my hair and another woman directing her on how to do my hair. I'm not sure what happened but my hair is now now a blend of the orange tones along with other lighter pieces mixed in and my roots are starkly dark compared to the lighter ends so it actually looks like I haven't been to the salon in 6 months and need a touch up which is just as wild as the first experience. What's more unfortunate is that I was charged much more than what I was quoted and I paid $345.60 (20% tip) for the service and I honestly feel robbed and worse.. insecure walking around with my hair looking like this. If you're looking to get a balayage done, please look elsewhere. I would hate for someone else to make the same costly mistake. Other than that, the stylists are nice so I'm disappointed in how things panned out.

BLONDE EXPERTS!!! I love, love, love Tame, they are experts at what they do. Niki has mastered the perfect blonde for each individual, whether you want Icy, Platinum, warm blonde, Ash, Honey, and the list goes on. Total perfection!! I am very picky about the color and style of my hair. I was going to my previous stylist at a different salon, every time I went in to see my stylist (3+ years), I would request blonde, fine all over weave/highlights. The whole 3+ years I would come out with fine weave/highlights only on the visible-top layer of my hair. Once I pulled my hair back it's was all dark and very little highlights, if any, so it looked 1/2 & 1/2. Not a great look. I was talking to my neighbor right after Niki had colored and styled her hair. I said you look stunningly beautiful and I HAVE to know what salon and stylist you go to!! She said Tame and she is a client of Niki. I said I need her phone number ASAP. My neighbor's hair was exactly how I had been asking my stylist to color my hair for 3+ yrs . I immediately called and scheduled a consultation with Niki and was so impressed with her awesome talent. As I was waiting for my consultation, I was admiring every client that was leaving the salon and I was in awe!!! I actually witnessed two different clients that came to Tame to have them fix their extremely damaged hair, that another salon caused to both clients' hair. When they were finished, both clients' hair looked like hair on a model in a magazine. They shared before and after pictures and it was astonishing. They are absolutely top-notch, best of the best. Niki extremely knowledgeable, she knows so much about color, cut, styling, and color corrections/damaged hair, etc. and how to fix it the right way. She also, prides herself in training her staff on how to do everything the "right and proper" way, no shortcuts. That's what separates her salon from all the others. The first time I went in to have a platinum all over babylight, I explained to Niki what I wanted and the color that I wanted. First appointment ever with Niki and she absolutely nailed everything!! It exceeded my expectations, I was ecstatic!! My husband has always liked what the stylist has done with my hair and the color, too. He always compliments me on how beautiful my hair looks. When I arrived home after my first appt with Niki, he was like WOW, Babe, that's HOT!! He said, I can tell you are extremely happy with your her, you are glowing and I said I found THE ONE!! I must add, that everyone at the salon is amazing , happy, funny, welcoming, personable, hardworking, talented and fun. I leave there, beautiful, happy, and laughing. It feels like you're leaving a friend's house where all the girls gathered to have a great time. Not only do you leave beings friends with the staff at Tame but also other clients. It's a great vibe. I highly recommend Tame, Niki, and all stylists there.

After my hair was absolutely wrecked by someone who improperly did my extensions, I was desperate for help. Dottie at Tame has been my hair guru and does such a beautiful job. She took me from looking a complete mess to having gorgeous extensions that I’m always complimented on! Dottie is seriously an artist — so meticulous and takes such pride in what she does. The salon is fantastic and I always feel so welcome. Highly recommend!

I wish I could give more stars! I absolutely love this salon. I came in as a walk-in for a cut. I have curly hair and it was in distress, but Shianne knew exactly what it needed and she did a fantastic job. The consult was quick and to the point, and she really listened to what I was trying to achieve, and she made it happen! They’re just getting going at this location and I’m so excited to be a regular there! Highly recommend!Services: Shampoo & conditioning

After trying a few different salons and stylists, I'm so glad to have found Dottie at Tame. I went in for a cut and a money piece, and Dottie crushed it. She asked plenty of questions and was upfront with me on what we could achieve, how much she recommended cutting...made me feel so confident that I was going to walk away with amazing hair. And I did! Highly recommend Dottie; you won't be disappointed.

Love this salon! I went to Niki and she gave me the hair of my dreams. I showed her two inspiration photos and she knew exactly what I wanted before I even explained. I have naturally dark brown hair and this is the first time I’ve gone this blonde, and I cannot believe how thick and healthy my hair feels after bleaching it. Niki took such great care of the health of my hair and took time to explain her process and how to best maintain it which made me feel confident and at ease with such a big transformation. 10/10 experienceService: Hairstyling

Gabby did an amazing job on my tattoo! She has a clean fun environment that made me feel comfortable the moment I walked in. I will definitely be back for future tattoos and will likely look into Tame Salon for future hair needs as well!

Absolutely horrible, I can’t believe I even went there for extensions they made me look like joe dirt no exaggeration. reenee over processed my hair, that was a level 10 to begin with. She supposedly used me as a model but I paid 700$ for the service. reene didn’t have anyone with her guiding her not understanding that especially when I was her first hair extension client, also being a hairstylist you know to not give someone a bleach shampoo when you apparently see damage??
With that being said she put the extensions in completely wrong and gave me blisters on my scalp from how much hair was in the bead as well as tight it gave me irritation all over my scalp. she also gave me scalp burn… I went to reene about the situation the only resolution was Olaplex treatments. oh and my hair was previously damaged okay then why over processed it even more? Weird but I went to the owner niki to get a resolution for my irritation on my scalp and blisters also the damage , more so to get then taken out and my money back and she said it was normal but she would’ve done a long bob not 22 extensions. then proceeded to say she would take them out but other than that she nor will the team perform any other services on me besides taken them out….. so felt uncomfortable. I had my teacher take them out and she even said they were too tight with too much hair! With my hair being ruined still is ruined. So I actually had extra hair left over like a row of hair extensions so I contacted them to get it back after knowing I was going somewhere else to fix the damage they caused they said if someone took you extensions out will won’t be able to fix them due to them being uninstalled correctly.. so then I tell them I’m coming and I live 20 minutes way from the salon they closed it about an hour and a half earlier!!!! Don’t go here seriously save your money you’ll thank me later!
