Best pointe shoe fitting in the area. They have my loyalty. Look for discounts/specials during the holidays and at the beginning of the school year. Note: we travel over 100 miles round trip to get my daughter's shoes fitted every time she grows--the quality of the fittings and selection of shoe options makes it worth it. They will ship additional pairs to us for a very low fee when her feet haven't grown but needs new shoes.
Many years later... We Still have shoes shipped from here regardless of where she lives. Sorry your local dance store!

My granddaughter received the most gracious and helpful service for her first pointe shoe fitting at Gahanna's Opening Night store.Mary Ellen was extremely knowledgeable and attentive to her needs, providing us with an excellent experience. Most importantly, we found the perfect shoe!

We stopped here on our way through town to a dance competition. The owner could not have been more kind and accommodating with our last minute needs. She found us exactly what we were looking for, checked her other store’s inventory, and even offered to call competing businesses to help us find what we needed. The inventory on site is great and they carry a good mix of brands/pricing. Highly recommended!

My child is starting with balletmet this year and they recommended opening night for his "uniform". They had everything we needed in his size. Staff was pleasant and helpful.

Great place for pointe shoe fittings, also a very nice selection of dancewear. I'm an adult ballet dancer returning to pointe after many years, and Patty was fantastic. She was fun to talk to and she really took her time and tried a bunch of different shoes to make sure I found my perfect shoe. She never made me feel rushed or pressured me to get a particular shoe, she just wanted me to find the very best shoe for me and she did! I love my new pointe shoes and will definitely be back!

I have been going to Opening Night for many years. Since COVID, getting Pointe shoes has been difficult for retailers and dancers. We came into the Gahanna store at the end of May/ early June. We were told the Pointe shoes take about 5 weeks to come in. I get a call around the 4th of July saying our shoes are in. I made a special trip to pick them up only to find out they were not the shoes we ordered but some mix up. The sales person said then that she didn't even put in the order until June 23 (WHAT!!??? WHY???!!!!). She didn't have any problem pressuring me to pay right then which I did thinking the Pointe shoes will be in by the end of JULY. Needless to say, I don't have them and all the employee would say was 'oh, I'm sorry'. All she offered was that at some point during tomorrow afternoon they will call the manufacturer. Great! I will sit here and hope that the shoes come in at some point before September. While they have my money, I get to pay more money and buy another pair of shoes because my daughter can't dance on worn out Pointe shoes but Opening Night didn't submit the order when I placed it. I understand getting these products are slower but not placing orders in a timely fashion is a bigger burden on dancers.

They were very helpful! I needed a flat dance shoe, nothing in particular, and was given several options to try. No pressure to buy or to hurry. They even found me a pair on clearance that turned out to be perfect.
