Worst experience I've ever had with my hair. My friend booked Melissa and Julie Allen to do her hair for her and her wedding party. I showed Melissa the picture I wanted and immediately she said,"you want a braid? I can't do braids!" Almost like I insulted her by choosing the hairstyle. It was an extremely simple and common style. I asked for beach waves with a loose braid. She proceeded to blow-dry my hair for about 30 seconds and made a terrible attempt to do my hair for maybe 5 minutes. There were no waves. My hair just had one crease and it slanted to the left and a very tight braid that I could've done better myself. She proceeded to tell me the braid looked that way because my hair wasn't long enough. Which is insane because my hair hits my lower back. She charged me $70. The contract price was $60, but she just added $10 without telling me because she said my hair was wet. I live in LA and a wash, blow dry, and style here is $35. Apparently if you made the terrible decision to hire Melissa for your wedding, a simple style that is terribly executed will cost you closer to $100. And trust me she doesn't even try. She was not pleasant either. The entire terrible experience took less than 15 minutes. And it looked so bad that when I got back to the bridal party, everyone asked me when I was going to get my hair done because they couldn't even tell it had been styled at all! Do not hire Melissa for any important events and certainly don't sign a contract with her. I'm not even sure how she considers herself a hair stylist.

So I have been seeing Cindy to have my nails done for two years now. I tried several other salons until finding her and my nails have never looked or felt better. The studio itself is very nice, clean and a cool space. I will continue to go to Studio M, even though it is quite a distance from where I live. Totally worth it!
