When I returned home, I discovered that I had been bitten by bed bugs in 20-30 spots. Upon entering the room, I noticed that all the drawers of the furniture were opened, suggesting that the hotel was aware of the issue and had likely attempted to address it. It's unbelievable that they assigned that room to me. Long story short, avoid this hotel. I'm concerned I may have brought bugs home with me. If I find any, I'll take legal action against the hotel.

SERVICE & CHECKINRemarkable concierge!Norma was an MVP employee & made this my favorite Sonesta checkin experience of the year (bay area Sonestas are underperforming heavily on this).Parking is available on site & they accept Tap payment.Other staff members were equally friendly-- they actually greet & smile!Room for improvement: It was a lengthier process than most hotels + required manual paperwork to complete. Early checkin also comes with a fee.LOBBY, ELEVATOR, CORRIDORSThe mini library near the elevators was a nice touch.Transitions need some work: guest floors had an odor, the carpet was stained, & all the sanitizing dispensers were empty. This building has seen some things; it's an adjustment for sure...ROOMhttps://youtu.be/xC1uY7BNnRABrown, brown, and MORE browns~The color palette is uninspired & doesn't offset the heavily worn interior. Still, there a lot to appreciate.Strengths: lots of storage, open space, work desk, ergonomic seating, & adequate overhead lighting. There was a flight odor, but functional windows took care of that. The leather Recliner was also a treat.BEDIt did what it was supposed to.No lasting impressions & no complaints.BATHA medium-sized bathroom, with a surplus of towels! They're a bit thin & on the smaller side, but the quantity makes up for it.The combination shower had excellent water pressure & bath products were pre stocked. Ventilation was also strong.TV & ENTERTAINMENTDated on the entertainment center, featuring a ~40" mounted Panasonic SD TV.I recommend catching up on your reading with a book from the library downstairs.WI-FI & CELL RECEPTIONVerizon coverage is bare minimum even when standing by the window in comical positions ;A struggle for remote work.--Performance--Video streaming - averageOnline gaming - averageVideo chatting - average--Nerd Stats--5-15 Mbps download4-19 Mbps upload0% packet loss16 ms latency7 ms jitterFOOD & DRINKDoorDash friendly & very convenient with lots of variety. There's a mini market downstairs & a dinner within walking distance. The kitchenette is also well-equipped with ample cookware & appliances like a coffee pot & 2-burner stove. Despite the wear & tear, everything was functional.NOISEIt was an extremely quiet environment, nicely tucked away from through-traffic. There was awfully loud ceiling work/maintenance during my stay which was really unpleasant.LOCATIONLots of access within walking distance to shops, restaurants, & transit.VERDICTWhat they lack in luster, they make up for in sincerity. The building is overdue for modernization & from what I can tell they are actively working on it. It's a decent stay if you're optimizing for function.Looking forward to a renovation here?.3.5/5 ⭐️

For the price I was expecting a much more professional and cleanly place. The staff was nice but the location was ghetto. Much less than I was expecting for the price.Rooms: Not anything fancy pretty basic.Nearby activities: There was nothing within walking distance or driving distanceSafety: I would not walk in this area alone at night.Food & drinks: There was no place nearby to get food.

The room and entire hotel were old and outdated and smelled horribly like smoke, must, and mold. Even the towels, sheets, bed, and pillows smelled strongly of mold. I had trouble falling asleep due to the smell. Every surface of the room was sticky. It was clear nothing had been cleaned well, if at all.The only pros were the bed was comfortable, water pressure was strong, staff were friendly, and hotel was close to the airport. Next time, I’ll pay more to stay at a cleaner hotel though.

Roach motel anyone? …I only had the energy to kill one.So… takes a lot for me to review and I gave Corp a chance to at the very least apologize. Management is claims this never happenedIf it didn’t happen how did I get checked into the second room ?room 1Checkin was later in the evening and entering the room I was hit with a strong musty smell, within a few min I knew it was mold as I’ve felt this respiratory issue in the past with mold. And my breathing became restricted quick. Tried to fight through it and laid on the bed. Bed was damp / wet to touch. Tried a shower came out an the walls mirrors doors cabinets desk all surfaces were dripping wet and the bathroom door was closed when I showeredWent to front desk and staff took note to pass to Managment to get me another room first thing in the morningsWent first thing in the AM and room was changed quickly.Room 2Same damp musty odor. I was by the fridge and noticed the smell was stronger there. Come to find out it’s coming from the sink drain. I bent over to confirm and yes something is bad moldy in the plumbing.Day goes on and I plugged sink with a stopper and left for the day came back to same thing but but a little lighter in smell. I had a window open and bath fan on to create a cross breeze. Helped a bit but still had breathing issues. Then the pic. I was getting my things together and there was the first baby roach scurrying across the desk. I killed the one and there the napkin in the trash. Thought better of it and took a pick as why would they admit to having an infestation. If you see one it’s and infestation and this is on the 3rd floor.Managment is denying any of this happened… and yet gave me another room I guess for no other reason than I requested it… yeah Sonesta ‘I want the same thing just on another floor please. And can you sprinkle in some roaches this time?’ThanksSo corporate Sonesta says that they have to submit this to management at the hotel for review ?♂️

Older property needs a lot of updating especially public areas, rooms are clean and comfortable but do not smell nice, thought at first it was smoke smell but decided it was musty.

Nice place to stay at. We got the 1 bedroom suite and there was plenty of room for 3 adults. The room was clean. We had 2 issues the room had a strange odor to it. We tried spraying air freshners, and it worked for a while. The other was the bedroom got warm at night. I slept on the pull out sofa and was cold all night, but my daughter and son in law got hot. The staff is very nice and accommodating. They have a snack area with chips and coffee, a laundry room, a weight room. Next to the elevator was a locked cabinet with different kitchen appliances that you can use during your stay. They also had dvds and books you get too. Another downside was the walk to the elevator, so be prepared to get your steps. I highly recommend this place. It's also close to the Columbus, Ohio Airport. It's a very quiet and safe area, and no one woke us up at 6 am. Waking and talking going up and down the hallways

New to town, needed a decent place in a decent location at a decent price for about 10 days. This Sonesta exceeded expectations. Would stay again.Rooms: The Ritz? No. But good beds & hot showers, totally fit the bill.Noteworthy details: I had to check in and check out more than once. With fluctuating room rates, I was prepared to have to eat the price differences. To my surprise, they straightened it all out, and I didn't end up paying extra

It's basic, but in a good location. Rooms are fairly quiet even with jets taking off right above us. There were two issues I had with it. First, there is a very strong odor of marijuana coming down the hallway from one of the rooms, even though it's supposed to be a 100% non-smoking hotel. Second, there were long black hairs sticking to the walls of the shower/tub, which obviously were from a previous guest.

Rooms smelled very badly. The refrigerator was very loud and old. The furniture was old as well. I’ll skip this place on my next trip. Not impressed at

Only 1 toilet per room. Bad when you've waited at taco bell for an hour and boyfriend cuts in line when you get to the room. Noot Noot... it's the sound of the police.

Located centrally, the rooms were clean and didn't smell. The key card machine did not work for the 3 days I was there so the staff had to be inconvenienced with escorting me to my room each and every time I came back. But it's due for a refresh, shower curtain was starting to fray, The shower itself is not ceramic so it makes A LOT of noise with each step you make - Makes me wonder if the person below me heard it.Some of the other furniture (chairs) in the room did not look like he should be sat in. That definitely needed to be thrown away and replaced. Some of the carpet looked like it was pulled up in the corner of the room. It had ants - BUT! to their defense every hotel from super nice to just average who had a full kitchen always had ants.Overall a nice stay if you're just looking for somewhere to rest your head. The room is a lot bigger than I expected it to be.
