If money is tight and you need a place to live until you can build up enough to go to a better location, then I would recommend. As far as living here long term for several years, I would not”
“Current Resident: By far some of the friendliest and most sincere staff, from the front office to the maintenance crew. Today’s work order prompted this review because they not only showed up within an hour, but also fixed the issue and changed a lightbulb for me within that same hour.The complex always looks clean and welcoming, they take care of the snow and ice speedily whenever needed, a great first place to live in Columbus for me and my partner and our cats!”

“Living here at Slate Hill these past 5 months has been fantastic!!!! I love it here!!!! Abbey, Zay, Nick and the maintenance staff have been wonderful!!! Any requests asked to fix anything or be replaced has been done promptly and professionally!!!! My apartment with all its amenities and garage are fabulous!!!!
The newsletters and the pool being repaired and sharing other pool location until fixed, awesome: beautiful clubhouse with free access, fantastic Starbucks coffee machine and amenities, pool party with fabulous prizes!!!!, food trucks, free: herb garden package, school supplies, fun licence plate game and prizes, friendly library house, special clippers tickets were all wonderful!!!
Slate Hill is 2 minutes from my work place and so convenient to all the shopping, restaurants, gas stations and High Banks park nearby!!!! I will be staying a long time at Slate Hill!!!!

The location is stellar and close to so many attractions . The office staff and maintenance team have thus far been responsive, helpful, and professional. The building is cleaned frequently, and I love the safety measures in place to prevent others from roaming around the building and floors they don't reside on. They've updated the community room and it is beautiful and functional for an alternative place to work remote or relax. My only complaint so far has been the cost of my electric bill during these winter months but that's a story for NEC and not the property. It's a very solid choice if you are looking to move in the Columbus downtown area!”

Every maintenance request i have submitted has been responded to with Someone in my apartment within a day or so, even when it’s something small like the microwave light being out. The issues with garage safety and prices have all been well responded to by maintenance, they both lowered the parking prices and installed a new gate and security to address the break ins. I’ve truly loved living here and have recommended several of my friends to also live here”
“The location, amenities, layouts, and responsiveness of maintenance / office here are great! The cost is high and continues to grow, but this is to be expected at a complex like this. Newer complexes in area with the same level of amenities with much smaller sq footage, etc seem to be higher priced. Have been here about 4 years now!”

“I LOVE this apartment! I’ve been here for almost 2 years. It’s definitely my favorite apartment of all time. I love the two doors, one is a back door to the fire escape the other has a locked downstairs door where one must buzz to get in. I feel very safe due to it.My neighbors are wonderfully nice, polite and quiet too. Mixed crowd of college students to working professionals. Thankfully the walls are so thick most people can’t hear anything and the reverse is true too.Yes it is very old but that’s it’s charm! My suggestion for most people when living here: buy ceramic heaters off of Amazon for winter. Two is suffice. Get a 3rd one for backup or if you need to be toasty. My electric bill is never over $60 a month. I notice that if your neighbors run their air you won’t have to run yours as often.The only issue outside of the actual apartment are noise and parking.A. Tape your parking pass to your window to avoid towing from shamrock.B. Get city parking passes they’re only $25 a year!!! A Steal compared to most cities.C. Buy at least two noise machines! The bars and their patrons can get LOUD at night, and I mean ANY NIGHT. I run at least one during the week and two-three during the weekend.Otherwise it’s an adorably peaceful place to live.”

The leasing agents are typically always available and are able to meet our needs and or concerns. They answer the phones, assist with maintenance request, provide knowledge on inquiries and always have a positive attitude. The maintenance staff has catered to our request within a 24hour period and were friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable. The property’s upkeep has been nothing but clean, and kept up in great shape. My one year daughter is able to be housed in a safe environment with friendly neighbors. Our leasing agent Jocelyn and Makayla have worked diligently to answer every question and provide appropriate resources to meet the needs of my family. We are extremely happy with our new home and believe we have made the right choice. Though we have worked with those specific agents, we have found that anyone in the leasing office is more than capable of assisting us and always appears happy to do so. “I’ve lived here going on 5 years. Sadly I’m looking for a 2 bedroom so my stay here ends. I love my apartment, it’s small and quiet. The office people are very nice and helpful and also understanding. Trust me I give them a headache lol. When I need something fix they fix it in a timely manner. I have my own drive way so don’t have to worry about not having a spot when I get off work. Haven’t had any bug issues which I’m happy about because these other apartments I’m looking at seem to have a big problem with roaches. One thing is my neighbors. I don’t complain to the office about them. I just ignore them. I’m sure they complained about me. My neighbor always tells me what I can or can’t do with MY apartment ( inside and outside) The list goes on. But i really need a 2 bedroom. Thank you Chartwell for everything my son and I appreciate it more than you know.”
