The absolute worst to deal with. Shut off our power but they turned off the wrong unit. Took 8 hrs to get it turned back on because they kept lying saying they would send someone out but the driver would just cancel the ticket. Found out our meters were crossed so they were supposed to come fix it. Took THREE weeks and multiple calls for someone to even do that. Then another 4 weeks to get the whole issue resolved. Had to call multiple times a week for 1.5 months to sort the whole issue and fix billing and had to re-explain the scenario wayyy too many times. All to be told they “do not do any compensation”

AEP's Payment Arrangement a scam! I just received new bill and see a extra 50 dollar fee. 2 payment arrangement charges. I normally DON'T utilize the either one of the utility companies payment assistance programs that run through their actual company due to scamming extra payments than contracted for with agreement. In August I signed up with AEP'S Payment Arrangement program. It's 90 days payment is for a certain date every month for 90 days and every month they send out a reminder letter of payment date and amount of payment. Now agreement ended in October and November came and went No reminder letter December came No reminder letter, but 2 extra payment arrangement on my bill. When I called AEP and spoke with agent she kept trying to make me Not be at the bills from August - December and my bank statements. My new is only 43.00 the 2 extra payments 50.00. I then called PUCO and they useless.

Costs are outrageous. Today I had two guys impersonating AEP people come to my home. I called AEP to report it. The woman on the phone acted like it was no big deal. AEP sucks.

The worst company, right next to Spectrum. We’ve had 9 power outages in four months. We literally have no choice when it comes to power and AEP somehow screws up their only job.

Terrible to deal with for new services. Kept getting the runaround with service requests, no one knows what the company's requirements are for the lines, and they do not get back with you when they say they will. Wish I could go with a different provider. As if it is this hard to get their services I am scared to see how it is when a storm hits.

Greedy company, raising rates by 28% in one summer. Now you’re raising them AGAIN? Your higher ups are paid millions, stop making working class and poor folks foot the bill. People are literally going to die in the winter because they can’t afford to heat their tiny homes while the mansions your higher ups live in are warm and empty. This company has no compassion for humanity, it’s disgusting.

Makes no sense! I am not even from here. Moved here and literally the slightest breeze, rain, hot day and the power goes out! Me and my kids make a joke when it starts raining! “Hurry up and put your phone on the charger” yet yall want so much money! Its summer and people have spoiled food and no central air! My power goes out twice a month!

Here we go again. You are charging us more and here I am the second summer in a row without power. It’s not even that hot outside. You owe us money!! I just bought 200 dollars worth of groceries I’m probably going to have to throw out!!!

Immoral and unjust. Services go down without warning for extended periods of time. Meanwhile zoom mtgs are dropped, traffic lights are down, etc. They have the nerve to charge more rather than less, for undependable service.

What a joke always loosing power, highest bills ever, now they are going to charge more money to the people so they can upgrade there infrastructure lol what trash, use ur own billions of dollars, what a monopoly! Time to move and get solar panels so we don’t need them any more!

Have oxygen or another form of life support that needs power? Too bad they take their time leaving you without power while charging you a fortune for it. This is by far the worst company I have ever dealt with.

Aep wrongfully shut off My power this morning (mistake on their end). They claimed I didn't pay my bill even though I did. Well when they shut it off, it fried my Xbox one. Am I going to get a refund for that since it wasn't my fault? Probably not. Garbage company. I definitely wish Columbus Ohio had some better options.
