Buckeye did work for me in the past - we had a chimney fire and needed the liner replaced. They were not help helpful in obtaining a replacement cost but we also found the original work was not up to par and has caused additional costs for us to repair. The chase cover on top of our chimney was replaced by Buckeye a few years ago - they crushed it the last time the chimney was cleaned and left a gap where water entered the chase and rotted our wood inside the framed chase. Would NEVER suggest using this company.

Love my insert. Only need to use propane when I'm going to be away from home for a day or two. The fellas that installed my insert were very friendly, clean and efficient. However, getting pellets delivered seems to be an issue. I recommend ordering well in advance before getting low on pellets. It seems to take several weeks, after paying for them, to get them delivered. And, you should order 2 ton at a time as there is a 70$ delivery fee. Other than pellet delivery issues my experience with buckeye stoves was, for the most part, good

Requested an estimate on multiple wood burners at our farm house in late August. After waiting 2 weeks for an estimate, I contacted the company and was told “we are working on it!”No problem. I get an email on September 19 from Lorraine, the owner, that she had a few questions and to give her a call. (We are now 3 weeks past our initial inspection date). I call her that day, answer her questions, and she informs me she will have my estimates over “immediately.”Another week goes by, and I call again. Lorraine insists she was looking at something else and would send it that day. I call the following day (September 28) and receive an estimate dated back from 9/9/22.My wife and I take some time to consider, and I contacted them on 10/17/22 to approve the one estimate. I’m told they would need to “update it”. Ok, no problem. Again, I wait several days and finally receive it where they now want nearly $2,000 more than the original estimate. Their initial response states “we had price increases on October 1.”I call in questioning the increase AND why no one made me aware of the increase coming on 10/1 the day they sent me the estimate (9/28 - just 3 days before). I would’ve approved it immediately and got them going on it.Instead, Candy, informs me that it’s “normal” for them to take a month to do 1 estimate because they “have to research the codes.”As a contractor myself, I can assure you all there is no need to take a MONTH to “research codes” unless you are a non-professional, “Chuck-in-a-truck”, style business that doesn’t actually know what they’re doing. I have quotes, including brand new builds with MULTIPLE specialty trades(all of which have their own code requirements), out in no more than 2 weeks MAX.In addition, Candy admitted they knew the increases were coming, yet they never mentioned it. But read their contract - “Prices are subject to change without notice. No refunds on deposits.” In essence, they’ll scam you to get a deposit, then magically have these increases they don’t need to notify you about and can charge what they please.I know they are one of very few companies in their specialty, but I HIGHLY advise you all to research and use ANY other company before settling for these people.

As of right now I am not impressed. I called to get an evaluation of my project I had in mind for them to do the install and answer a few question. But today when the gentleman called to let me know that he would be coming out he asked if I understood there is a 150.00 fee for this service. Now I do understand that this takes time and money. But from a customer stand point please be upfront about it.

My wife and I recently moved to Apple Valley and our forever home needed a fireplace. After being turned down by other companies because they were all booked up until March 2022, Lorraine and her team at Buckeye Stoves was willing to take my money (JK). I was given a date of Jan 3rd for install. Well, after the estimate Buckeye Stoves called and said they could install December 21st. They came out and framed the hearth, installed the heatilater fireplace, cut the hole in my house and we had a lot of fun doing it. This was a great experience for us and the team was very professional. Thank you Buckeye Stoves for the Christmas Present!

Always superior service. Experienced and knowledgeable in what they sell. We bought our pellet stove twenty years ago from them. Still get service today like it was just sold. Well done!
