Things I’ll be talking about: the store and the pet I bought from it.
The store was very clean and the staff were so friendly! I always love stopping in to check out their cute cats. They have a big window so you can see into their grooming area, they always do such a good job when cleaning up the pets that come in.
My cat:
(Let me set the scene) I had just finished taking an exam when I saw a PetSmart. I’ve been wanting a cat for a while and decided to stop in to see what selection they had. 4 cats were in cages.
Cat 1- Dona (was a bit schizophrenic seeing as she was swatting at thin air) - this is a joke, this cat was perfectly healthy.
Cat 2- Bitter Sweet (He hates life. He just wants to lay and eat but Dona keeps biting him) - Donna likes to play, Bitter Sweet did not.
Cat 3- Checkers (Was laying in a box, in a corner side eyeing me the whole time.) - I didn’t even notice she was there till I went around to the glass and saw her. All the cats greeted me besides her.
Cat 4- I do not know the name of seeing as they were adopted but waiting to be picked up. - Very loving and playful cat, purred as soon as they saw me
Can you guess which cat I picked?…that’s right! I picked Checkers. She was 6 months when I got her and she’s currently 8 months old. She was $75 which I thought was so amazing since she’s been neutered and had her shots up to date! (Buying litter, food, and all the other accessories made the price a bit higher) I was told by the staff that Checkers was a very loving cat and to just give her a few days. They said this as they were struggling to put her in her cat carrier. ?Nonetheless I was very excited! She was indeed a loving cat! She sat in my lap the whole car ride home, she loves to cuddle at night, is very playful, loves to cuddle with my dog, and is great at catching mice!
I thought Checkers wasn’t a very fitting name so I renamed her to Jennifer Pickles but most of the time I just call her Kitty. I love her so much. She always loves to lay on my chest and purr at night.
10/10 I highly recommend getting your cats from here. Bonus! She’s good with kids.

14076 Co Rd 172, FindlayWe took our 4 year old Eskimo here. We never took our dog to a groomer before but our friend recommended Jayne. HOLY SMOKES! Jayne did AMAZING! It's like a whole new dog! She looks so beautiful! I am VERY happy with the results and will continue to take my pretty girl here for now on! On top of all that, my dog is very timid around strangers and she was so calm & did so well here! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

She needed some socialization at first and they took their time with her so she felt comfortable at her own pace. I loved getting the report card with pics from them as well. I highly recommend CJ’s to anyone needing some fun doggy daycare.

K9 Retreat and Spa Findlay
9747 Township Rd 95, FindlayMy two pups absolutely love it here. I travel for work often and when I vacation it can be 7-10 days so I was hoping to find a place that I felt comfortable leaving my dogs at and a place where the dogs wanted to go to. I’ve boarded in various places where it’s a struggle to get the dogs out of the car but not here. They gladly run right inside, pulling me along the way.
Kym is fast at replying and always happy to have my pups. Every now and then I have a last minute trip and Kym graciously fits me in.
My dogs now look forward to going to stay here and know what it means when I pack up their food. I have my pups stay in the same room together and have been pretty lucky to always get the same room which helps make this facility feel like a second home to them.
In the beginning my Shepard mix was fearful of strangers and Kym worked with him during their stays to help him open up and become braver. She treats them like her own dogs and gives them all the love.
I 1000% recommend K9 Retreat and Spa Findlay to locals looking for a superb place to board their dogs.

I got the California panini which is usually served with turkey but today they had to make it with an egg. It was delicious! They also had real maple syrup for my iced coffee which was a great option for a sweeter. If I’m ever back in the area I will definitely be back.

106 S Main St, FindlayGreat pizza. My family loved the Pickle pizza and cinnamon knots! In this economy, I understand keeping a business open that sells food products is VERY difficult. Hopefully there will be a cool large family value meal that will have pizzas salad a cinnamon knots for a discount when the cost of food goes down. Our family owns a restaurant too and I've seen 3 go under in the last 6 months. Keep at it. Great pizzas and the dough is perfection. Friendly staff. Can't ask for more.
