I went in this week and had my hair cut. I had both pictures and the standard name of the hair cut (over 20yrs old) that I wanted....she knew exactly what I asked for......but suggested she could update it and make it look better for me....so I let her. I have super naturally thick hair. And instead of the formal layers I asked for....she took at my hair with a razor comb and thinned over half of my hair off. It is so thin now and limp. I am very unhappy. It was not what I asked for at all. I would never have allowed her to thin it like she did.

I asked for a tutorial on advanced highlighting and contouring, and was shown basic makeup, more fit for a beginner. I also asked for assistance in finding a foundation shade. Joy was "concerned" because my skin tone is medium, but my under tones are cool. She wasn't sure "how it would turn out". I cannot be the only person with this skin tone. A professional should know every skin tone well enough to match it flawlessly. I was polite and gave her a tip, plus purchased $50 in products that are still packaged 30 days later. All day I was asked why my face looked "weird". Please educate yourselves in more skin tones than your own, and maybe I would reconsider coming back.
