If I could give a ZERO I would. This company has twice now not shown up on time. "Inspected" my propane tank 6 weeks ago. After inspection, I had soot all over my home and the propane tank was draining rapidly. Called twice over the 6 weeks. Suburban blamed the fire insert when it's actually a regulator/combustion issue. Called to have another inspection and was told someone would be out Friday to fill the tank or the inspection. The guy didn't show up until Saturday morning... Filled the tank FULL and charged me $333. I ran my gas insert for 1.5 - 2 hours and the tank went from 96psi to 74psi. Monday, inspector shows up, charges me a $95 fee for inspection and says I signed off on it. It wasn't even my signature on the email they sent. I never signed a thing. Now I'm $750 in the hole with soot all over my house and a propane tank that obviously isn't working. I've since told them I demand a refund of propane, inspection and want them to take the tank away. I would avoid this company at all costs. SUBURBAN PROPANE- Make this right and refund my money!

Suburban Propane is so bad I feel compelled to review. I tried like heck to get them to set me up with two 500 tanks for commercial use. Unbelievably bad customer service. In a customer driven business with other options I wish Suburban Propane luck. Get it together

2 days ago I wrote a review and if I could have gave him a negative number I would have but they have redeemed themselves they send a guy today this evening they fixed the problem it was the Regulator but I now have heat Actually rather impressed and a little embarrassed I overreacted but I did get results they say the squeaky wheel gets the grease..

Absolutely horrible!!! Moved to the area and previous owners had Suburban propane. I went to the website and filled out a contact form to switch service to my name and ask about the details of their propane program. NO ATTEMPT TO CONTACT ME!!! They just showed up a couple days later and took the tank and left me with no propane. If you are considering Suburban don't make the mistake. It's not my first run in with this company. They are too big to care about you or your business. You are just a number. Go somewhere that actually appreciates your business and has the decency to contact you before just showing up and taking your heat away. Not even a knock on the door. What a joke. NEVER USE SUBURBAN!!!

If I could give zero stars I would give the company a zero rating. The company could not come out to fill my empty take for four days. Finally, the service appointment date arrived. The employee left a note stating that they could not fill the tank because the gate was in the way. The gate was unlocked and fully retractable. A child could open the gate. After waiting on hold for nearly forty minutes they offered us another appointment seven days later. We refused the appointment and said we wanted a refund for the $300 deposit and planned to report the company to the Better Business Bureau. At that time, a supervisor was notified and the service call was rescheduled for that day. I learned today (Monday) after being on hold again for nearly thirty minutes that the the reason my oven is not working is not an issue with the lines, but that the service representative never came back to fill the tank. I will NEVER use this company again.

Stopped by to have a small propane tank filled. It was during regular business hours, 4 or 5 vehicles in the parking lot. Front door locked, not a soul visible anywhere. Do I need to make an appointment? How does this place stay in business?

Years ago I used SB for heat in a mobile home. They let me run out of gas during a cold winter and were arrogant and laughed at me when I told them I needed service, they took two weeks to deliver gas. causing my all my water pipes to burst and I lost my home.
