The waiting area is occupied by empty trailers. There are more than 13 of them today Oct 15th. And yet they take your phone number and ask you to wait for a call to the dock for unloading/loading. This place is no longer convenient for drivers to work as it was a year ago. That's right, no one cares about drivers.

Be on time! Be polite! Don't park in front of the door to check in, and things typically go smooth with quick unloading times. If you are a work in, you will be waiting! They go by appointment times, and do a good job sticking to them. Be prepared to go up 51 steps to the recieving window. ?

This review is for Americold in Fairfield, OH. Once you enter the parking lot, it's highly advised to park to your left, there will probably be other trucks there depending on your arrival time. Once parked, look across the lot and you'll see a green awning over a door, that's where the shipping and receiving office is located. Once inside, you'll go up a few flights of stairs, enter a door and the window is directly in front of you. There's a half sheet of paper with the usual items to fill out. The upstairs lounge area for drivers is really nice with sitting and vending machines and bathrooms. This location also allows overnight parking which is always a win win for drivers in my opinion. I arrived much earlier than my scheduled appointment and was provided a dock door. Their hours of operation start at 0700 so from my understanding they are not a 24hr operation.

If you're going to be late chances are you'll have to pay a late fee and they will detain you for the rest of the day and possibly more. Late or not I hope I never come back here!
