“I try to patronize "mom and pops'" wherever geographically I am at that time of need, but especially in the community I find myself living in and spending a majority of my time. That said, I wandered into Wilkes with a question, the likes of which were admittedly ambiguous and given that my knowledge of the English languages' adjectives are nothing to write home about Jack, the apparent owner gave me the time of day and despite not ending up having the hardware I needed pointed me to a close location that had more chances of stocking what I needed. I ended up buying some WD-40, of which I have 5 cans of, from him anyway as a tip of the hat on my way out because it always feels good to wash each other's hands and if we're honest, WD-40 is hobbyists'/DIY'ers cheat code. “On Jan 10, 2024, we had a wind storm, so our power went out. When the light came on, I still had no internet, and part of my house didn't come back on. Eventually, I went to check the panel box, and yes, breakers were out. This one red breaker wouldn't reset (off/on), so I YouTubed it. I took a picture of the breaker, drove to Home Depot, and saw this beautiful young lady working in the electrical isle. Now, all the breakers looked alike to me, so I stood there acting like I knew what I was doing (men). So she started walking towards me, and this sweet voice said "are you finding what you're looking for, I'd be glad to help?" Embarrassed, my inner voice said "naw I got it". Then something happened and "please, cause I don't know what the hell I'm looking for". She took my phone, zoomed in on the photo, and went straight to the breaker I needed. She said you need a 20amp Seimens, and this should work. I brought it home, changed it out, and I was back in the game!!! I'd like to thank Arissa for being professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and most of all, for just being there. With help like that, I'll definitely be back. Bless Her Heart!”
