I'm very happy with 5th third I love the fact that when you walk in Ilana and Gayle and Dave calls you by name I've never overdrawn I love the way they set my account up never leaving

No link on the website I could find for customer compliments but the lady who helped me today was so sweet. I think her name was Gayle. I was stressed and felt like a dumb millennial not remembering how certified checks worked but she was patient and never made me feel stupid ? it was appreciated.

When I was unemployed I took out a MyAdvance cash advance from fifth third to pay two bills in a pinch. I took out the advance which was enough to cover one bill then the next day I would receive my severance and pay off the other bill. However what Fifth Third failed to tell me was that any money coming into my account via direct deposit would automatically be taken as payment. As a result I was forced to take out ANOTHER advance to pay that bill, incurring a double fee. I asked if they could waive that second fee and they refused, and with this new detail, I was in a position where the money I would receive for the next month would all go to the advance loan, increasing the odds I need to take more and more advances.. This is called PREDATORY LENDING! After 15 years with Fifth Third, this was the straw that broke the camels back. Over the last few years they have shut down all Fifth Third locations in the area except for this one. I do like the people who work at this specific branch but the bank as a whole is subpar now that they've switched from being a credit union to a bank.I have since switched over to Huntington and I am really enjoying it! Thanks Fifth Third for helping me see who you really are!
