Jake at the front desk should be fired. Stopped by this place on my way back from playing at the Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame. When I walked in the door, the guy working there seemed annoyed to come to the front to acknowledge me. When I pointed out the guitar I wanted to try, he said “that guitar is $1000 do you still want to try it?” And overall acted like I couldn’t play guitar because I’m a girl and was wasting his time. After I played a few songs, he said that if I play it longer than 20 minutes I had to buy it. So I put it back and walked out. Don’t know how this place stays in business. #sexist

Jake does a fantastic job matching musicians to their strings and is very knowledgeable resource for planning your next musical adventure. Excellent with repair and troubleshooting. The shop is committed to making sure your instrument performs for you. He has taken great care of my bass and is flexible, patient and generally fantastic with lessons for any age.

I brought my guitar in to have some work done on it and Jake was very helpful and insightful on how to best service the guitar! His prices are great as well. If you need some work done on a guitar or need to purchase a guitar, I would highly recommend heading to High Strung guitars and letting them help you out!

I came in looking to try out a few different types of acoustic guitars and the owner Jake was super helpful and friendly. They showed me the ins and outs and let me try whatever I wanted. I also got a demonstration of some cool guitar effects that I haven't seen anywhere else. I got some strings and will continue to come here for all my guitar needs even though I live in Columbus. Visited the store to get my first guitar. Starting guitar as an adult is definitely putting me outside of my comfort zone. The guys at the store made me feel welcome and made buying a guitar less intimidating. This store is great and treasure for Delaware!

Do yourself a favor and come here. The guys that run this place are some of the nicest you'll meet, and are true professionals. No pushy sales here and you can tell they want you to walk out with the right guitar. Their stock is nothing but quality. So stoked about my purchase!

Jake did something for me that no other music shop has done for me....and that was sell me some fret wire that wasn't in their inventory or even something that they stock. It is a changing of the old guard so to speak and the name of the business has changed as well but this young man was very courteous to me and I'm definitely going to stop in next time I'm in the area. Thanks Jake and God bless ya man.
