Last week wanted to try Boots BBQ, waited 10 minutes while they waited on 3 different deli customers AFTER I stood there. I walked out. Went in today to try it, guy in front of me ordered a pound each of pulled pork and brisket. Neither of which came up to a pound. When I got up to the counter and asked about brisket and pulled pork I was told it was all cold now. 5 pm and you're out of what you sell to people for dinner??? You lost my business for good!!!! Your cake business was lost 2 years ago over 3 tries and pics and explained in person and was STILL wrong!!! ????

Visiting from out of town, but grew up in Defiance. Chief’s is a trip down memory lane, and they are as friendly now as they were 40 years ago. Plus, they had everything I needed and their prices seemed fair.

The Defiance,store is still a decent grocery to shop, they have a nice deli and meat department. The weekly sale flyer usually has competitive prices with nearby groceries.

This place is gross as well as costly. About 12 different packs of strawberries were moldy. The kiwi that I did end up purchasing had a nasty chemical taste to it that I just couldn't get rid of. Won't be shopping there for fruit again. Yuck!
