Beware of the pharmacy here - extremely unethical. The pharmacy manager attempted to force me to pay cash for a walker I have a prescription for and an approval from the insurance. I asked the general manager to find out what was going on, and he told me that it was covered but only for one specific model that didn't fit my needs even though when I called previously I was told to just come in, pick a walker, and bring it to the counter. That couldn't have been any further from the truth. When I asked the general manager why the pharmacy manager would lie to me to make me pay over $100 cash for something that had a prescription and insurance approval for, he told me he wasn't going to "get in the middle of a yelling match" even though there had been no yelling at all. He told me that the pharmacy manager wouldn't lie because she has worked for him for 16 or 17 years, as if that was supposed to be an actual reason. After that, I took my prescription from him, walked out the store, and will never return. Attempting to force customers to pay cash for an item they have insurance coverage on is extremely unethical. I have reported the store, the general manager, and the pharmacy manager to corporate and don't plan on ever returning to Walgreens. Not sure how you expect to keep customers when you lie to their face and act like it never happened in the first place. It's not like you're a one-of-a-kind store, there's plenty of competitors out there eager for my business.
