I regret to say that my experience with WesBanco has been nothing short of disappointing and frustrating. When my spouse and I chose WesBanco as our mortgage company in 2020, we were drawn to the idea of working with a smaller, local bank, hoping for a more personalized experience. However, the reality was quite the opposite. The loan approval process was needlessly complex, with WesBanco constantly changing the rules and requirements, even excluding one of our salaries after initially agreeing to consider it.What's even more perplexing is that shortly after closing on our mortgage with WesBanco, they sold it to US Bank, leaving us to wonder why we went through all those hoops in the first place. Fast forward to 2023, we received a demand for nearly $2,000 for a mortgage payment that WesBanco allegedly made on our behalf without any prior notice. The lack of communication, along with a threatening tone, only added to our frustration. When we attempted to resolve the issue, our calls went unanswered, pushing us past an arbitrary 10-day deadline. In light of these experiences, I don't recommend WesBanco to anyone seeking a mortgage or banking services. It is evident that their focus has shifted from providing quality service to prioritizing their own interests, leaving customers like me deeply dissatisfied and frustrated.

I have been in retail banking for over 5 years and If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Juanita in the front is beyond rude and needs to be retrained in customer service. I had the unfortunate privilege of reaching her over the phone first. I then came in to address my issue and talk about some other products as I am new to WesBanco. Sadly she was also the one waiting on me in the branch as well. I was looked at immediately when I entered but wasnt greeted until I walked up to the teller line about to ask for help(no other customers in the branch) until I walked up to the teller line and then was welcomed with attitude as if I had done something wrong. I tell Juanita I am here to see a banker to set up my online banking. She asked for my id as if I should’ve already had it out for her even though I indicated I wanted to sit with a banker. Gave her my id she then spent about 2-3 minutes typing. She then asked me what I wanted my username to be. Confused I said “idk, are you setting up my internet banking?” She said “yes”. I replied well I actually wanted to sit down with a banker and talk about some other products as well. She then rudely replied “I am a banker”. I’m curious as to why she answered with such hostility when how am I to know you’re a banker when you didn’t identify yourself when I asked for a banker. I said well I said I wanted to sit in an office. She then said well I’m back here today and I asked for my id and account number she wrote down and left. I have worked at Chase Bank, PNC Bank, Fifth Third (located directly across the street), and First Financial. That type of attitude and behavior would be deemed unacceptable. As someone who knows this statement doesn’t mean it still should be said. With my very first interaction with my new bank being so hostile I will be closing my accounts immediately.

Juanita is the absolute best. She has a wonderful knack of not just being a banker, but feeling like a genuine friend. She’s warm, friendly, and just goes the extra mile. This bank is incredibly lucky to have her. I adore this lady❤️

The people at this branch are so great. We visit here a couple times a month for deposits and have been using the drive thru due to COVID. They know who we are, remember our names, are always so friendly, and even remember my daughter's favorite s***** flavor. Juanita, the branch manager, and the teller, Rebekah, always brighten our day! Thank you guys!
