Beautiful venue. You would think that the acoustics in a concrete building would be bad, but it actually was pretty good. Spacious gathering area downstairs too.

My job had our Christmas party here and It was soooo nice. Atmosphere was elegant almost romantic. The table servers were friendly and did an excellent job. Live Band was fabulous but the most remembering thing about my night at the Steam Plant will be the food. That was the best catered food I have tasted in my life and I'm 55?

If we could give more than 5 stars, we would! Such a lovely venue & great vendor experience with the team. Especially Lisa, with listening to everything we wanted for set up. So many compliments on the venue during our ceremony & reception, with the large bar being everyone’s favorite part, of course. Thank you Steam Plant for making our special day so amazing!

I was really looking forward to this venue for my daughters wedding in 2025. I went to a wedding there recently and the way Lisa acted and behaved, she is so rude and not professional. I noticed how she was toward anyone with color. She is a racist and I would 5/5 NOT RECOMMEND! It was hurtful to watch. As you can see she has been rude before so I hope the reviews get out there what kind a person she is. Rude, disrespectful and flat out disgusting, We love people of all color so this one is checked off my list!

As a vendor, I have never been treated with such disrespect as I did the staff of the Steam Plant. The main coordinator micro-managed me as I prepared for my client’s big day. Lisa even had the nerve to ask me if this was my first time working a wedding- when I've been in the industry for years.She complicated things that didn't need to be complicated. She made my client upset on their wedding day, to the point where they were crying. Made the wedding coordinator set up chairs, linens, and tables by herself when there were 3+ venue staff members available.As someone who has worked Cincinnati/Dayton weddings for 3 years, I promise you that there are better venues in the area (at a better price).Other than the looks of this venue, I cannot recommend this venue to anyone.And as a reminder to any venue/vendor- we are all working toward a common goal: to make our clients happy. They chose US to be a part of the best day of their lives. Wedding planning and prep is not an easy thing- do not make it harder on them than it needs to be.

We just had our wedding at the steam plant. John and Lisa were great and our guests complimented how it was the best venue they ever been to. We highly recommend working with a wedding coordinator to make your day go perfect. We used Lisa Snapp as the coordinator and she knew the venue and all our vendors.

Steam Plant is a favorite wedding venue in the Greater Dayton Metropolitan Area. Best bridal advice: Do diligence and explore the Greater Dayton- Cincinnati markets well in advance of your special day.Caveat: Engage this beautiful venue as soon as possible....In January 2023, a "hold this date reservation arrived" for August, 2023. A family member held her large, fashionable, and somewhat expensive wedding reception for 300+ friends and relatives.We congratulate her foresight for engaging this venue.It is great that Dayton's historical buildings are restored and lots of area folks delight in selecting reception areas.We know that Steam Plant Professionals deserve huge credit for being the venue of joy to life.We like the event spaces, indoor and outdoor. Of course, we like the on-site parkingHighly recommend...

If you’re thinking about hosting your wedding at the Steam Plant, you can’t go wrong! Not only is it the most beautiful venue, the team is also amazing to work with. They accommodated an early arrival for me and my bridal party to get ready, left a sweet note and a bottle of champagne, and were the most kind people the entire night. They took the time to make sure every detail was perfect and truly made our day stress free. Our wedding guests raved about how unique and beautiful the venue was and greatly enjoyed all the spaces to spend time with one another. I wouldn’t change one thing about our experience with the Steam Plant!

Our daughter had her dream wedding at The Steam Plant. She searched venues in Dayton and Columbus and couldn’t be happier with the beautiful Steam Plant. The design and details in decor were first class. We were welcomed when we arrived in the morning by the owner and he was very helpful. The bridal sweet was a dream and even had working salon chairs. Iced champagne was waiting for us. The men’s locker room is amazing with beautiful wood lockers and a large screen TV. Two of our vendors shared that her wedding was the most beautiful wedding they ever worked. Our family has been in the Dayton area for five generations and the groom’s family traveled from Pittsburg. The venue is close to two nice Marriott hotels and great dining and night life for rehearsal dinner and welcome reception. Thank you to the Riazzi family and the Steam Plant for making our daughter’s day perfect and reminding us that “it’s great in Dayton”.Paul and Teresa Colavincenzo
