Store manager Nick Piccoli endorses highly questionable business practices and was both petty and unbelievably rude in our interactions. Appears to encourage his salespeople to “give” you a “free” watch that locks you into $15/month line charge plus $25 in taxes and deliberately omit the details of the associated obligatory costs. When I figured this out after my first bill (19 days later) and returned with the watch in an unopened box, his response was “well, you’re outside the 2 week return period. I can’t help you.” I reminded him of the “sale” that he was present for/involved in just 3 weeks prior. I suggested we check with corporate for relief mechanism. I detailed the issues with (1) timing of first bill (2) the two week return policy was not disclosed/discussed (3) the failure to mention the monthly line charge on the watch (4) use of “free” in the unsolicited offer for a watch (5) watch in unopened box. His response: “we don’t get into the details with every sale” and refused to help try to return the unopened watch. He stated multiple times: “We’re paying for the watch”. Ummm, no…I am having to pay $15/month for a separate line on this “free” watch that I don’t want/won’t use. When I said “I guess I’ll have to call corporate office myself” he abruptly stood up and said “we’re done here, I’m not going to be threatened” and retreated through closed door in back of store in a huff. He refused to help any further. There were no customers in the store, but 4 other employees: certainly not a matter of being too busy. Left me sitting there dumbfounded. I waited 30 minutes for him to come out of the back of the store. He refused to give me a contact who could help. I did call corporate. After an hour on the phone, Corporate representative explained the local store manager (Nick) did indeed have the discretion to allow a return up to 90 days in this scenario; however, Nick refused to do so—presumably to bolster his store sales numbers and/or put the burden on the buyer to undo this location’s unscrupulous practices. Unfortunate T mobile/personnel on site has set up next to a college campus with this approach, perhaps to exploit the campus community and others with these bait and switch tactics. Go elsewhere as this place is run to be focused on sales (by any means), not customer service. I think I’ll go back to Verizon.

Talked to a guy name Ira he was super friendly and helpful. He took time to talk to me about my existing account and showed me options for upgrading my phone. It was nice to not feel like a burden to the sales associate went you walk in to the store for once.

I and my cousin went to the store to take statement and finish up the settings on the account for my cousin and the person over there is not taking care of what we need plus saying we have to do it by ourselves. I know that if he wanted to work there he could do it on the system. He wasted my time…

Update: So I eventually decided I wanted a prepaid plan that included Data, not just voice minutes. Ira set up the "Connect by T-Mobile" $15 per month plan for me on May 18th and made sure that my existing minutes balance transferred over to the new plan. Today, Bridney fixed the problem with the PIN on my account and everything is working great!Original review: Bridney did a great job upgrading me from a T-Mobile 3G flip-phone to a T-Mobile 5G smartphone. She transferred over all of my hundreds of contacts, which is what I was really sweating. I didn't need to change plans even though I had a pre-paid minutes-only plan. (I intend to use Wi-Fi connections for data.) If you're a cheap pre-paid customer like me, and you received a text from T-Mobile about a too-good-to-be-true free upgrade from your 3G phone to a 5G phone, believe it! The OnePlus Nord N200 5G is a good smartphone and I like it. Even though, after 16 years of flip-phones, I feel like a caveman flying an Airbus A380.

At this T-Mobile location I had a horrible first-time customer experience migrating from Sprint. Will never go back.
