The motel was bad, paint peeling, Curtains not hung properly. Door had been kicked in before by the trim & frame. Room was very small, fridge didn't get cold. Elevator was dirty and stinky. We didn't feel comfortable bathing. Paid for 2 nights but the 2nd night we paid again and moved to a better hotel across the street. This motel was listed as a 3star. This was the biggest lie ever. It was a 1 star. Please don't book here expecting a 3star hotel. It's more of a truck stop motel. The front door was hidden. Just bad.Rooms: If all you care about is a bed they go for it. If you care about a nice experience overnight this is not the spot. I'm a basic Holiday Inn, Marriott kind of 3 star person this place gave me the creeps. I couldn't sleep. We heard every noise, every person that walked by.

My room was filthy,it smelled bad, and in disrepair. The continental breakfast was an abysmal failure. All the juices were empty, they had apples and stale mini donuts. Very misleading

Other than Lucy the pm front desk woman who was excellent, the rest of the staff left much to be desired! Night one checked in and everything was fine until I awoke to plaster from the ceiling on my comforter! I peered up to see where it had fallen from: the ceiling and it looked like directly above me someone had left the water running! So I called the front desk and they asked me if I wanted another room. Uh yeah! Was told to pack up and come downstairs for a new room. As I am packing up a man comes up in a sweatshirt no name badge and knocks on my door. I answer it because I'm sure it had to do with my ceiling. I was offered no compensation for my hassle! I was downgraded to a lesser room with no coffee maker which was fine! I went out and ran some errands and came back to nap a bit. During this time I was interrupted twice by hotel personnel asking for one thing or another. My room had yet to be turned over but when I went to phone the front desk found my phone inoperable! So I called on my own cell to request that my room be turned over and the phone repaired went out for the night and when I returned neither had been done! I repaired the phone myself and hung my towel up to dry so no real issue. When I returned that evening my room key no longer worked (I assumed I had been checked out). So I go downstairs and chatted with Lucy about this new issue which she swiftly took care of. Now I could overlook one of these inconveniences, but three? I'd like some sort of compensation!

Actual name is Wingate by Wyndham Dayton North. They shouldn't advertise breakfast as what they have is nothing short of a joke. Waffles are ok, mini donuts from the sleeves are removed and placed on a platter, nothing to indicate they were out of juice, and when asked about it the response was simply that they were out, did nothing to rectify that issue. Apples in water like a Halloween party? Lol the worst thing was that when flushing the toilet at 10pm the toilet over flowed and spilled onto the floor.... Pretty gross.

It started off nice as we walked in then started to give our information for the reservation and the guy behind the desk acted like he couldn't look further into what was going on because he couldn't find the reservation we waited about 2 hours for it to pop up cuz they said once you book it online it takes about 15 to 20 minutes and come to find out that it was under a different name and he just didn't want to let us know that it was under a different name but he seen the reservation he told us that the reservation wasn't there instead of saying it that it was under a different name so he gave us all kind of problems starting to call the police and kick us out it's lower than 40 degrees almost it's freezing temperatures and it was just not a good experience people or person and another guy came and he did the same thing with I don't know if they teach hospitality or customer service when they train them when they first hire but it seems like that needs to be something that happens and customers should be able to walk in and see that that is a part of the training for our hotel staff.

We made reservations coming in from out of town, arrived and were told the computer lost them. Looks super sketchy from the outside. We are traveling with a handicapped individual and the "handicapped" door buttons didn't work for either doors, even though they were marked handicapped accessible. They turned us away but reading other reviews, I'm thinking it would be safer to sleep in the car. Also said they had no rooms even though there was all of 3 cars in the lot.

This is now a Wingate. We stopped here because the last Wingate we stayed at was so nice. This place is not. Shower curtain rod is so bent the curtain can't reach either end. The bathroom is very small. The HVAC is hard to work. At least the complimentary breakfast was pretty good.

**If you have kids or a client don't bring them here.My overall experience is disappointing. I'm a native daytonian that booked a weekend stay but I had no idea it was this bad in this location. The rooms aren't cleaned so I suggest that you get some cleaning supplies before you check in. There will be stains on the furniture and on the bed. The comforter, sheets and mattress as well so bring you a sheet or comforter. The carpet may not be vacuumed so you may have to "borrow" one from them. The elevator is broken so you'll have to take the steps. There's only three stairways, on the front and back of building and next to the main office. If you have issues with mobility then you have to walk all the way there.I have a damaged heel. I was on the second floor, on the opposite side so that wasn't fun. There will be people loitering on the stairway and hanging out side. I know it's a hotel but keep this in mind if you have kids, pets or if your a woman. The building is run down. Paint peeling, cement crumbled, pool damaged, elevator broken, out dated appliance and furniture. TV may or may not work. Mine received stations and then would randomly cut off. Air conditioner had filters sitting on the outside, microwave knob was partially missing and the fridge was barely cold. Last night I stepped into what I hope has spilled syrup on the stairway and my sandal came off.I told the front desk about the leak and requested a first floor room. She told me to call back around 1pm after the cleaning lady was done to see if ones available. I will because I need a place to sleep but if they can't get me a 1st floor room then I'm leaving. I'm not paying $75 a night to stay in a place I don't feel comfortable. I'd rather sleep in my car.

They actually turn their hot water off at night so if you would like to take a 3 a.m. shower just forget it because they're going to tell you that the hot water is out. When actually they turn it off every night. Also we had to get three different rooms before we were satisfied the first room had ants, and the bass on the shower nozzle came off as I was trying to get in the shower almost cut me and you can see right through the wall, then the second room was handicapped and when you took a shower it flooded the entire bathroom floor. Not the most pleasant experience that I've ever had in a hotel and sadly I went to this hotel because of the ratings very disappointed

Very poor upkeep. Broken hinges and latch on door. AC unit sounds like a grinder. Broken and stained lamp fixtures. Fridge missing all shelves and freezer compartment. Cable line for tv broken. Stocked with coffee, but no coffee maker or microwave.

I hate giving poor reviews but here we go... And had to stay overnight during our travel. We have a older pet he is a great dog doesn't bark etc. so we needed a hotel that allowed pets. I will give the positives first... the beds are very comfortable, the room was fairly clean there's a few things but not much to even mention. Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The door has no interior latch and the locking and handle mechanism has seen some damage. But here we go really really really bad stuff... Dog crap everywhere! And I mean everywhere. Most people will put their dogs on leashes and take them to the pet area and pick up after them. It's evident that the clientele that they attract at this hotel does not respect this. And when I say everywhere I mean right out your door and all up and down the grassy area by sidewalk. You can't even step somewhere without stepping in it. In the morning there were dogs out unleashed. Not something I would subject my pet to argue for fear there would be a scuffle etc. unfortunately we won't be back. Hoping no flea guest tag along back home. But I kind of doubt it.

Front desk was very nice . The shuttle driver James was informative and very polite. Great attitude. The shuttle service is awesome. Room was clean . I’ll be trying the breakfast in the morning. So far it is safe to stay at a 4 star review just because of the staff .

Rented room for 5 days. Had to ask to have room cleaned. Came back one night went in room to find other people in our room. Gave it away said we told them we were leaving. Absolutely a big lie. Had to get another room. Building has structural issues reminded me of Surfside in Florida. They were putting in support beams on first floor. Never will go back.

Not a good experience. Price was good but room was old and smelled. No toilet paper and no breakfast as promised! Was good to be close to airport due to snow storm but not a hotel we will be back to.Jason at desk was friendly and helpful though. Appreciated that.
