This is one of the cheapest vets in the area but you get what you pay for. I've made about four appointments here trying to keep an open mind and give them a fair chance but the veterinarian is frankly just uninterested, rough-handling, non-communicative, and dismissive. He doesn't seem to care. He averages about 20 seconds in the exam room before leaving, having the receptionist discuss any findings.I was very uncomfortable with the way the vet treated and handled my cat. My cat has tolerated all his past vets but he truly hates this one; it is very abnormal for his personality. I unfortunately cannot in good conscience recommend this vet. I am not confident in the standard of care I received here. I have since found another, much more thorough and empathetic vet that provides a much higher standard of investigation, care, and followup.

My cat had to stay overnight so they could collect urine. I was worried about the bill. Turns out they are very reasonably priced, and kitty is all better!

This vet and his team have been so good with my senior dogs. They obviously care deeply for animals. They're punctual, professional, and kind.

They take excellent care of our baby! They got us in when she was really sick. We are grateful for such caring staff and Doctor!

Kind and caring staff. Very responsive to our needs. Doctor did an EKG right at the visit and looked in our dogs’ ears with a video scope which was really cool.

**updated** (ZERO STARS)MY PARENTS DOG DIED, this vet refused to run blood work on him. Which is his primary vet. NOW THE DOG IS DEAD!! If I could give ZERO STARS I WOULD!!DO NOT GO HERE!!!! If you have a large breed dog beware!!! Refused to take care of him!!! They say they are trained to handle larger breeds or dogs with anxiety from being in a place they aren’t familiar with.My parents dog a 5 year old Rottweiler 90lbs went in because he was having seizures like 2-3 weeks ago in December and they just had started. The vet said he was being too aggressive, so that day the vet gave him gave ear/flea medication and sent him home with a sedative pill and reschedule him for his next visit a a couple weeks out without doing any blood work to see what was causing him to have seizures in the first place. Since this is the reason they brought him into the vet because they were told it was an emergency and he had to see a vet right away since the seizures were close so close together.Instead of trying to help they Rescheduled him for January pretty far out if you ask me especially for seizures.. cluster seizures at that.. they could have gave my parents the pill in advance since he’s been there before or have him come back a day or two later but no sent him home with nothin to help. Now this is where it gets scary my parents dog went into a seizure for over two hours on Friday and would not stop shaking and convulsing and had to be rushed to the emergency vet Put on medication and sedated, now my parents dog looks as if he is about to die and hasn’t moved in two days. And still is suffering from seizures it’s the saddest thing I’ve ever seen.(We called OAKWOOD first that day but they said there was nothing they could do at this point but prescribe him medicine.. pretty much helpless the entire time also I need to mention the appointment they scheduled was for this upcoming Tues. so all of this possibly could have been avoided if he would have said it was serious and scheduled it earlier or we could have taken him to another vet that cares instead of waiting… we thought by him saying we could wait everything would be fine and wasn’t serious) BIG MISTAKE!!!Even with medication at this point I think it has been prescribed too late and should have been taken care of at the first visit. If you have a large or somewhat skid-dish dog DO NOT GO TO THIS VET. They are not properly trained to handle animals of larger sizes and instead of doing their job they well refuse service and say it is for safety concerns. And neglect the well being of your dog basically just brushed him to the side because they aren’t equipped to handle an animal of that size. The dog has never bit anyone, but was scared in an unfamiliar environment. He has been there before and has never been sedated at any appointment… so if he They also had a mussel on him..They refused to take care of everything the day it needed to be done and this vet is to blame for the animals passing.. no blood work was done at all and we told them he had cluster seizures. They just sent him home like everything was cool and said come back in two weeks. Which led to him being pretty much paralyzed if blood work was done the day of and medicine prescribed we probably wouldn’t be in this position right now.Worst decision I ever made was taking him to this vet that day instead take your dog where they actually care about the animals. Instead of putting of serious situations. If it were a child that had a seizure would you just send them home? No, and pets are some peoples children as a vet it is your job to take care of these animals as if they were your own.I REPEAT DO NOT GO HERE. IF YOU HAVE A LARGE DOG OR CARE ABOUT YOUR ANIMALS WELL BEING.Its unacceptable and your office is accountable. Update your safety protocol to have larger animals sedated before hand or possibly offer it or only take cats if your scared to work with dogs and will decline to work on them. An animals health should not be neglected to the point of DEATH!

Dr. Bielfeld is always spot on with ailments we dealt with through the years with our dogs and excellent with our cats. He is hard to understand with my hearing loss so I always go with my husband. The staff is always friendly and efficient. We wouldn’t think of going anywhere else.

Had never been to this Vet before, I Vet appointments were a week out and our cat was in distress. They had us bring him in immediately and after a thorough exam decided to keep him for further screening! A couple hours later they called with good news and he was ready to be released!Very friendly and caring staff, explained everything in detail and fair pricing. Will definitely become our go-to Vet.

Great service at a reasonable price. Acknowledging we got very lucky in doing so, they were also able to get our dog in immediately for an emergency when 3 other vets couldn't get us at all that day. This has because me our main vet.
