Nice clean hotel and probably the best hotel breakfast I’ve ever had! Biscuit and gravy were fantastic!

I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Express and had a fantastic experience. From the moment I walked in, the Front desk staff was friendly, welcoming, and always ready to assist, I’d name drop but I forgot to get the name but he made it personalized environment even at 9 pm on a Sunday. The check-in process was quick and efficient, and I was pleased to see that my room was immaculately clean, well-lit, and comfortable.
The hotel's amenities were excellent - the complimentary breakfast was diverse and delicious, with options to cater to various dietary requirements. The WiFi was reliable and fast, allowing me to work without any interruptions.
The location was also a major plus, with easy access to Sam’s club and Walmart for last minute items. The complimentary parking was an added bonus.
What sets Holiday Inn Express apart is their attention to detail and commitment to guest comfort. I loved the little touches like the coffee maker in the room and the super comfortable beds that made my stay feel like a home away from home.
Despite being a bustling hotel, it was quiet and peaceful, ensuring a good night's rest.
I would highly recommend the Holiday Inn Express to anyone seeking comfortable accommodation with top-notch service. It’s a great place to stay whether you're on a business trip or a leisurely holiday. Looking forward to my next visit!
Rooms: The rooms were excellent and cozy.
Safety: I had a sense of security while staying at this hotel.
Walkability: The proximity of this location to Sam's Club, Walmart, and fast food establishments makes it highly accessible by foot. While a few restaurants may present some minor challenges, they are still within reasonable walking distance.

The place is clean and the check in was very quick. Rooms are a good size. The location is on the north end of a developed area, so it's quiet but stores and restaurants are within walking distance or a very short drive. Would definitely stay here again.

Absolutely FREEZING pool, like completely unbearable!!! We booked an extra night just to have the kids be able to play in the pool and it’s unusable!! And when brought up to staff, we were just met with shortness and annoyance, only response was “it’s heated”… clearly not… Wish us luck with some very upset kiddos..

The staff was friendly but seemed to be short staffed. Had to wait on two separate occasions. Hotel was clean and the parking lot was well marked and clean. Breakfast was the normal food and fresh. The waffle/pancake machine was not in service even though it looked fairly new. The hotel was located near a dozen or so restaurants which provided lots of variety.
Rooms: The room was clean with more storage then other hotels. The water pressure was good and plenty of hot water. The room I was in only had a shower so if you want a tub make sure you ask. It was also pretty quiet. It seemed like you didn't hear as much noise in the hallway or doors opening and shutting like you do in other hotels. The bed was comfortable. It wasn't super firm or super soft. It was in the mid range.
Food & drinks: The hotel is within a half mile of a dozen or so restaurants. There's also a Sam's club next door if decide to buy groceries. Lots of choices to choose.

I stayed here recently as I was in town for business and I can say the service here was not up to the Holiday Inn Express standards. The first issue was upon arrival in the evening there were no luggage carts available. I am a woman who was with my baby and senior mother. We had a lot to bring into the room. When I asked the front desk worker(man with glasses and comb over haircut) if they had any luggage carts he said, “We do…but I don’t know where they are?”. He didn’t feel the need to look for one, and I ended up having to take multiple trips in and out bringing everything in while he sat there doing nothing. Lazy and not the least bit helpful. Second was when I needed a new key in the morning because mine was not working and I had to interrupt the woman at the front desk’s phone time. When I asked her to help me she seemed so disgusted that she had to work, she didn’t greet meet, didn’t even say anything, she got the key, and then went straight back to her phone not one word was uttered throughout the whole interaction. Absolutely unwelcoming!
On a positive note some of the housekeeping staff were very welcoming and were friendly. Maybe you should have your front desk staff go to a training session with the housekeepers. I’m in Dayton often for business and will not be staying here again and will look for somewhere else based on my experiences with your front desk personnel.
