During our renovation it's been helpful to have lower priced options.

My family and I became partner families with Habitat for Humanity Dayton in 2017'. We completed the entire program, which included completing 550 sweat equity hours. Sixty hours of class curriculum, and saving $1300 in the savings account. We picked out our lot to build our home on Sandy Dr. Build was to take place in January of 2021'. Unfortunately, that didn't happen, based on rule changes made to the program. Initially, the rule in 2017' was if you had young adult children residing with you, and employed, they had to be added to your mortgage. Unbeknownst to me, the rules were changed several years later, when it was time to build our home.I contacted the ombudsman, who investigated the issue. And was contacted byNorm at Habitat for Humanity. He proceeded to explain to me that they were allowed to change the rules. My response to him was, "That's fine, it's when you changed the rules", which is when it's time to build our home. God has taken care of my family & I, and we'll continue to thrive.I DO NOT recommend this program for anyone, we were treated unfairly, and should've been grandfathered into the program, based on the initial rules we were given.*Taking into consideration, we completed the entire program. I'm 55 years of age, and officially eligible for senior living. Looking forward to homeownership, God has the master plan.

I shop there 4-5 times a month as I live less than one mile and it is an easy walk. I'm usually able to find what I need and always at great prices. The staff is friendly and very helpful. I only have good things to say about this store.

I don’t always find the piece I want when I visit, but they always have a great variety of styles. Furniture has been well cared-for.

Yikes. Prices were extremely high for used items. Used in such a condition that almost makes it not functional. Good for smaller items but missing pieces is likely. Just not great for a thrift item.

Nice people, good selection. It is smaller than some restores, but it is well organized.

I see I was not alone with a terrible encounter with the off-putting tall bald old man. He was RIDICULOUS! Honestly, I thought he was mentally unwell, not sure how he's working w/public. I recently relocated from DC metro area, which I left due to CV mandates. Not one Dayton business has required masks, incl govt bldgs, till walking into HFH of all places! Even DC met area HFH was one of very few places not enforcing masks! After reading about these absurd price increases, I'm not missing much.

Prices are ridiculous! They are trying to get rich out of things that were donated to them. I understand they're trying to make money to build house. But, a lot of people go there to shop there on fixed incomes. They want worse than brand new prices for something that's not worth much at all. It's bad. I won't go back!!!

Terrible terrible prices. What in this store full of "DONATED" items demands the huge price increase. Its CRAZY AND INSANE what things are prices at now. I used to love dropping by but now its cringy. There should be a regulation on resell items.

I would've given this place a four star before today I used to love this place and have always spoken positive regarding Habitat for Humanity. I went in to day with my husband and our jaws dropped at the price increases and the asking prices literally left me feeling very angry. This isn't fair. I'm not going to even go into detail why or how. Everyone can clearly see this. I will no longer be shopping here. I can get new stuff at these prices minis their 2% discount for used/donated items. No way. I am disgusted. I realize that it's trendy to reuse items. You all took part of the fun out of it tho. It's too bad.
