“After my son moved fromHis apartment due to a hospitalization, I met with Katie from the leasing Office to figure how best to proceed as I did not live close and did not know renter or lease law. Katie was just amazing, kind, compassionate and helped me figure out how to proceed with the move out. She was vulnerable and told me she had only worked for River Edge for 3 weeks so she said she would get back with me on questions I had. Katie’s a gem, doing her very best!”

“I recently moved to Dayton from Georgia and out of every Loft style apartment I checked out Fireblocks stood head and shoulders above the rest. Luke and Chris did an excellent job placing me in my new apartment. The two were very communicative, attentive, and accommodating. This complex has the best kitchen and Bathroom finishes in Dayton, hands down! The property is on close proximity to a dope bourbon bar, multiple coffee shops, and the river. The fireblocks district is being revitalized and you can tell this is the area to be in downtown Dayton. The only thing I’d want to see is the parking lot enclosed with gated access. I’m excited for this new adventure in Downtown Dayton Fayton and in the Fireblocks District. I highly recommend this property to anyone who is looking for dope, urban, downtown living.”

“This is a really great place to live. I lived here for about 2 years. It was really great value when I lived there, though they raised the price somewhat by now so I'm not as sure. The apartment layouts had a lot of light. The views were good on my floor of the apartment. The area is really quiet and calm. There are a few things within walking distance like bar granada and a sushi bar. Parking is safe. The dumpster is outside so there are never any smells or problems with pests in the apartments.Common areas: There's a big basement room but I rarely used it. Gym was minimal but had basic functions that I used. They don't stock the vending machine in the basement anymore. Free coffee machine in lobby when I was there. Elevators were fast. I don't think they ever broke when I was there.Appliances were ok. It was on the older side but still functional.A few of the problems were with the heating/cooling system. The furnace/AC controls broke multiple times a year and had to be re-lit/fixed. I remember once though, the maintenance people broke a tiny piece of glass on the furnace and didn't even sweep, so I stepped on a broken piece of glass in that room. It was pretty careless. The other issue was the insulation in the bathroom. The windows were very poorly sealed so cold air always came in. The bathroom was always freezing because the floors were frigid from a lack of insulation. I think they forgot to put in the insulation when they remodeled the bathroom floors. The older management was rude but the building was bought by new management and they seemed much nicer.”

“Decent price, overall pleased, some annoyances.Pros:+ Good cost per square foot (~1.6-1.7 $/sqf)+ Clean interiors, simple design.+ Decently organized package room. Carts available.+ Two elevators+ Digital key to the building, physical keys to apartment.+ Sound isolation is good. I very rarely can hear an upstairs neighbor clomping around, and I can play my stereo up to 70-80 dBa without a single complaint issued.+ 2019 construction.+ Neighborhood is actively developing, decently safe, good foot traffic. We did have a car break in this summer, but no grand theft auto.+ Fiber internet, 1 gigabit for $75.Meh:= Parking is decent, $50-$75 assigned through Parkade, surface lot.= Choose between a view of the baseball field (with all the noise) or a view of the parking lot + radio tower (with no sound except the occasional train).= Club house with a view of the baseball field if you're a Dragon's fan.Bad:- Man, they don't take out garbage frequently enough. There is no chute, just one room per floor with large trash cans. These are supposed to be emptied at least 5 days per week, but there are days that you will smell the reek of rotting garbage. There's a vent in the garbage room but it doesn't negatively pressurize the room, so smell leaks out. I feel for the tenants located near the garbage room, it's unbearably foul smelling in the hallway half of the days of the week.- Drains for bathroom sinks are incorrectly designed. The PVC pipe is too narrow and the height between the drain opening and where the PVC meets the wall is not high enough to motivate drainage (potential energy = force of gravity * height). Consequently the bathroom sinks drain more slowly than they fill and you will have a nasty basin of toothpaste and whatever else you blow into the sink that will slowly drain and coat the sink. This is a design flaw and cannot be fixed without breaking open the wall.- No gym.- No pool.”

“Nice place to live that keeps you close to the bus route and shopping. It is relatively quiet here and parking is good. Everyone gets a balcony, which is also nice. Office is proactive when it comes to correcting problems. I had a roach problem 3 months ago, which was due to a neighbor who wasn't keeping his apartment clean. They evicted the neighbor and my problems with roaches was solved to my satisfaction. If people park in the fire lanes here, the office does ticket them, and that is also a good thing. This makes my 3rd year of living here.”

“Nice place to live. One bedroom apartment is efficient and is all I wanted. They are under new management and are efficient with taking care of issues that may arise. They are pet friendly which is wonderful. I posted pics of apartment prior to moving in and after moving in some months back. Handrails in bathroom is an additional plus for me as well.”
