I feel very comfortable to take my Roscoe there. Everyone is so nice and helpful. Michelle is the first female vet that I have trusted ,with the care of my pet. Michelle will explain things in away that you understand. The staff at Animal MD are very helpful and willing to help you, with any pet problem you might have. Thank You

I scheduled an appointment for my new, female, Great Pyrenees mix. She was trapped after spending several weeks on her own and is nervous in new situations/environments. Since I have only had her a month, I was nervous about how she would react. However, after wrangling her in the lobby and carrying her to the room, she warmed up pretty well. The bedside manner was fantastic and I did not feel pressured to add extraneous vaccines or procedures to the appointment. Overall, the pricing is comparable to other clinics - including her spay estimate. When we were getting ready to check out, I had a minor payment snafu (all on my end) and they were patient with me while I sorted it out.

I had to bring my dog in for an emergency visit for stiches, I was told I could be gotten in at 3:30pm. When I got there, I was told they could not do it until after hours. I was originally given an estimate for $430-$500. My mom was with me and let Valery at the front desk know she wanted to pay it. Valery treated her very rudely and them told her that actually that amount was not correct and came back with another estimate of something like $530-$708(I ended up being charges the full $708). I was told that they closed at 5:30 and I could expect a call around 6:00. I received a call at 5:33p that my dog was ready to pick up. I was there within 15 minutes to get her. The balance was paid in full, but I had some questions for Dr. Bahns but was told she had already left. The next morning, I called and spoke with Valery, I had a question about one of the charges, the afterhours procedure charge, I asked since they were able to end up doing the charge during office hours why I was still charged that fee. Valery immediately got very rude with me and said they went out of their way to help me and how dare I question the fee now when I didn’t the day before and that maybe she should have just labeled it something different. the conversation at that point went pretty south, I went from just looking for an explanation of charge to I really can’t believe how rudely I was being treated. I let her know that didn’t have a reason to question the charge the day before because I was told it was bring done after hours but since it wasn’t, that's why I'm now questioning the charge. She could have politely tried to explain the charge instead of immediately getting rude and defensive. At that this point, I asked to just speak to the Dr. because I wanted to file a complaint about her. Dr. Bahns never apologized for the way Valery treated me or my mother, and completely defended the way she spoke to us. She suggested that we just find a new vet. Honestly, I was dumbfounded by the treatment. I had been bringing my dog here for 5 years and besides a leg injury that they told me they were not equipment to handle because it required surgery, they have handled al of her care. Dr. Boller has always been great. I referred anyone who asked about vet care to their office. If I hadn’t been treated so disrespectfully, I would have continued using Dr Boller but as it stands, I will not only never bring any of my animals here I can no longer suggest anyone else does either.
