I reached out to this location on 3/19/2024 for some resources, because I was told to do so, Me being a former member of The Southwestern Chapter Of Pennsylvania and know what help(We),The Red Cross does and does not offer, I maybe thought this location might have been different than the one I represented. I received a call 3/20/2024 from a woman who I feel needs retrained on how to communicate with the public and have more of a compassionate demeanor towards/For the people she interact with because ,I heard loud music, I asked her about, she responded "oh that`s someone coming in" I kept hearing it as well as a popping noise, which sounded to me like "gum popping" as well as more music in between her talking to me in the most "unprofessional"(ghetto) manner. She was saying things like, umm humm, and her being the up on things and calling me sweetheart, and she got offended when I called her sweetheart in response of her asking me about "What agencies I called that I knew of ?' … I already knew they didn`t help the situation inquired about. She then proceeded to tell me she was 70 years old and do not call her sweetheart, I then asked her name, "(PAULA)" she proceeded to speak to me in that demeanor I asked her last name …She proceeded to tell me" I don`t need her last name" until ,I thanked her and rushed off the phone just to not have this very unpleasant experience fiasco go on any further. I called back ,trying to speak to a supervisor to inform them of this woman's unprofessionalism and how it made me feel in the end. Being as though I used to be a Switchboard operator and was trained very well, there is a thing called mannerism and how you deal with and speak to the public, especially in crisis situations of the unknown. *We deal with all kinds of walks of life, when they (we) are in a crisis we have to lead with compassion.* ARC oath

Inconsiderate of donors. I waited over an hour for my last appointment, only to be completely passed over and ignored. When I took the initiative to check and see if anyone was preparing for me to donate, I found that they were just packing up the room instead. Despite the numerous reminder calls and emails I received, for an official Red Cross location to fail a donor this hard was embarrassing.

American Red Cross set's on West First street in Downtown Dayton, Ohio. These are the people who respond in a time of disaster. Be it a house ? fire here in Dayton, Ohio, or a flood in another state. They are there too help people in need .

The American red cross was no help. It's the like the fire department called them for no reason. You would think they would have vouchers for hotel or motels. Nope, they literally didn't help my family and we are homeless because of them essentially have insurance because places like this don't reallly help people.

My opinion of American Red Cross changed dramatically when I donated for the very first time. At no fault of their own, I had a horrible reaction to this process. I will NEVER donate again. And try to get a hold of someone on the phone is impossible. I HOLD and after 20 minutes someone literally picks the phone up and hangs up on me. Frustrating
