I just called to get general information and the lady was short and rude. She didn’t offer any solid answers or ask any questions.

I've been volunteering with YWCA on-and-off from the beginning of 2020 and have *nothing* but nice things to say about this organization. I particularly enjoy helping the kitchen staff with preparing meals, organizing, and assembling sack lunches; as well as serving lunch to the residents at the Harvey Court location. If you are looking for a rewarding volunteering opportunity with a great non-profit, this is the place to go! :)

If you are a college student especially DO NOT WORK HERE. This company does not invest in their workers at all and could care less about your lively hood. I was a PA for YWCA kids place for about a year and recently quit and I should of quit a lot sooner. They did not pay us when we went into shut down the first time nor offered us unemployment. However, my final straw was when they forced everyone to quarantine recently and lead us all to believe we were going to get paid. About three days before we were supposed to go back to site they told us we actually were not getting paid and they knew this all along. They do NOT invest in their workers and simply do not care. Do yourself a favor and do not work for this company.

I have attended several high-quality programs at the YWCA over the years: a lobby day with the Equality Ohio advocacy organization, a "memorial party" for a friend of mine who had died, several "EmPower Lunch Series" programs, and a quickly-scheduled "Charlottesville: Race and Terror" program.

Save yourself the trouble and DO NOT send your child to this program. Staff are very unprofessional and just down right rude. They do not look out for your children, hey simply charge you $200 a week to “deal” with them. My son was bullied by another child in the program, and all I received was attitude and rudeness from anyone I spoke with. After catching one of the teachers yelling at my son and talking to him way out of line, I corrected her, well needless to say, within hours I received a call that they had decided my son could not return and they refuse to refund the tuition. As long as your okay with your child being talked to like an inconvenience, they are great! I would definitely suggest spending the few extra dollars a week to send your child to YMCA where they actually care about your child, not just tuition! Also FYI my child was bullied in the program, asked a teacher for help and she wouldn’t help him.
