I had heard very positive things about Upscale Resale and decided to try it. I had two teacup/saucer wall display holders, a candlestick lamp and two sets of table lamps. The lamps were all in excellent condition. I called the store, spoke to a very nice woman by the name of Sandy and she explained the process and told me she would also email this information to me so I understood how the consignment worked. I received the email from Sandy within 30 minutes. I made an appointment (as they recommended) and took the merchandise in on March 7, 2023. It was not Sandy working at the store that day, but another woman and she told me that they desperately needed lamps. She priced them, I signed the consignment agreement, and she told me the items would be displayed on their website “the next day”, I was told that part of their percentage includes displaying the items on their website. I waited two weeks (looking at the website every day), the lamps were never displayed, so I sent an email and heard back from the woman I met in the shop she responded with, “We don’t display everything on the website”, which I found odd because I had an original email that said they did and she told me they did. Long story short, after 90 days you have the option of either picking up the merchandise (if it hasn’t sold) or just leaving it. It’s been over 90 days and I have heard nothing and I’m not going to go back and load everything back up in my car again. I’m not so concerned that it didn’t sell, which is very surprising (considering the lamps were in excellent condition and I was told they needed lamps ), I’m more upset that they made a commitment to list it on the website and they never showed the products and there was absolutely no communication. So I really don’t know if they sold or if they didn’t sell. Going forward I will do what I’ve always done in the past and take what I have to the Goodwill. I will not use Upscale Resale again. The only reason why I gave it two stars and not a one is because of how personable and professional Sandy was; however, that is the only reason why.

Have bought various items from Julie for a Queen Anne home built in 1905- living room, bedroom, and accessories. Not only are they high quality she also has great taste in what she offers for sale. On top of it all she is a wonderful lady. I keep going back because you never know what you’ll find.

You never know what you will find here! It's like a treasure hunt. I've bought a gorgeous black lacquer and glass cabinet for our living room, a beautiful large framed mirror for the foyer, a concrete crouching cat for the porch, a wooden swivel office chair, and an Asian rug. All were good quality items. I love shopping here and would highly recommend it.

They wrote me the rudest email I’ve ever gotten when I offered to sell them designer, new items. I was told I can send photos to get a price range, then I was scolded over email for doing as I was told by sending the photos. I was spoken to like a kid, and the emailer wrote back in all caps “OK.” I supposed customer service isn’t valued here, and neither is kindness to sellers. I love supporting local businesses, but I’m not doing so at the cost of being spoken down to when I’ve been polite and following what I was told is their protocol. Happy to show screenshots as proof.
