  They got most of my stuff from point A to B, but several large items were lost/stolen in transit (obviously pricey stuff which didn't make sense to try to put in a box like a paddleboard and kit, foam roller, etc.). Many items were also damaged, despite having careful, excellent movers load the truck.Total, I'm out about $3K including damages. Even if all they did was reimburse me for the clearly lost/stolen items, under $1K, I'd be happy. They won't even do that though - after waiting MONTHS for them to review my very detailed, well documented claim, they refused to pay for anything.Really consider if the lost/damaged costs will outweigh the increased price of going with another company. I recommend taking pictures of the loaded truck (maybe in stages) so you can prove items were on the truck if they disappear along the way.

  In the process of searching for a cost effective service to help my son ship his household items from Ohio to Kansas I stumbled across U-Pack and am I ever grateful I did! The call with the sales representative was low key and low pressure... which I was so very thankful for after communication with high pressure sales reps at other companies. They showed up when they said they would, the communication throughout was top notch AND the charges were straight forward and exactly what they said they would be... no hidden fees or surcharges!! To top it off, the cost was what would have been paid for a U-Haul and I didn't have to do any of the driving - which meant no gas, food or lodging costs along the way!! Check them out, you will be glad you did!!

  We just moved across the country from Eastern Washington to Central Ohio using UPACK/ABF. The ONLY reason I am not giving UPACK 5 stars is because they would not deliver the trailer to our home in Kettle Falls, Washington - we had to pack the trailer at the nearest distribution center, 75 miles away in Spokane, Washington. We tried to explain that we were in a flat neighborhood in town and offered to send pictures of our driveway and neighborhood road. We even offered to pay $500 just for the inconvenience! It would’ve been nice to have a few days to load versus needing to rent a uhaul and pack everything at once, then having to stay in a hotel close to the distribution center because our beds were in the uhaul.Delivery was AMAZING!! Larry, our driver, was so professional and did some awesome maneuvering with his rig!!! The last 5 miles to our Ohio home and the driveway is much more challenging than in Washington. We unloaded, made the pick up request, and the trailer was gone like a thief in the night!!! We will definitely use the company again. Just beware if you’re in a rural area, you may need to go to a distribution center which is a pain unless you’re closer than we were. Total cost with uhaul and movers included was more than $5000 less than any all inclusive company!!

  Several years ago, I had a really bad experience with Pods and I swore I wouldn't use a service like that again.Well, circumstances dictated that using the moving crates was going to make the most sense, so I contacted UPack and after chatting with them, decided to give it a chance.I simply COULD NOT have been any happier with the entire experience.The operators were professional and responsive. The drivers were on-time, friendly, helpful and made an effort to make the process easier and quicker for me. The drivers were experts with the forklift and very cautious and careful during the delivery on both ends.I had the impression that the boxes being set on the ground were the most stress they ever experienced during the whole trip. Columbus to San Diego and absolutely nothing was damaged or out of place from when they picked them up.They arrived faster than expected and UPack was more than happy to delay the final delivery until it worked for us.I am happy to admit my fears about them were misplaced. They were great to work with and I would recommend them to anyone.

  Every part of the long distance move with Upack was seamless and affordable. Our favorite park was watching the forklift transfer. Every person involved was friendly and helpful. All drop offs and pickups were on time and well communicated. I never plan to move again but I would recommend Upack to others.

  We needed to transport a number of items across country ahead of a big move and Upack did the job. From the first contact to the last, Upack and their contractors in both states were professional, efficient and we couldn't have asked for better service. Smooth as pie from start to finish and would highly recommend.

  I decided to use U-Pack services based on a recommendation from my parents. U-Pack made my cross country relocation easier than I imagined. Overall, I was pleased with the service and the savings.

  When I planned to move from California to Ohio, I was calling for moving quotes from many companies. The average was 10,000!! But came across U-pack. SO MUCH MORE AFFORDABLE. The drivers were very helpful with info on how to do things. I DEFINITELY recommend these guys for out of state moving. Thank you UPack!

  Very easy to work with company. Had looked at several different companies for a cross country move from Ohio to Texas. Everyone was either super expensive or had hidden fees. Upack was the only company who showed a direct quote based on the addresses given and also included insurance. We had a lot of valuable in our move and nothing came damaged. 10 out of 10 service.

  3rd time we have used U-Pack. Never fail to impress. The Online booking, drop-off and pickup was a total dream. Don't get me wrong, I like the support team at U-Pack, always so nice and helpful, but the online system is so easy and efficient for a busy person. The updates are really helpful too. Price wise, cheaper then the alternative.

  One of the easiest moving experiences ever. Easy to reserve. Drop offs and pick ups were right on schedule. Great communication. Way cheaper than Pods.

  We made the mistake of using U-Pack for every stage of our cross country move from Texas to Ohio and we will never make that mistake again. To get our house ready to show in Texas we got one of their containers and were strung along for an entire day regarding when it would be delivered. After the first window passed we were given another, and then another, finally getting the container at the end of the day when it was promised to be at our house before mid-day. For the second stage we got one of their trailers. This time it arrived within the original window. I'm currently waiting at our rental for it to arrive in Ohio. It's been over a week and a half since we and it left Texas. Fine. We were told it would be in Ohio sometime between the 7th and 11th... okay, hard to book movers to unpack it but okay. We get the call this morning that it will be delivered today and someone has to be at the property when it gets delivered. So I've been sitting here in an empty house for 5 hours and the best they can tell me about when it will arrive is in the next few hours, "before dark" is the direct quote. It's like they just flip a coin when deciding what the drivers will take to deliver next. So if you'd like to have no idea when your move will finally be over and be forced to wait all day you should definitely go with U-Pack. To be fair, I guess we are getting what we paid for. Save yourself some time and spend the extra money on another company.UPDATE: Barely 30 minutes after the "before dark" quote they called back to say the trailer now won't be delivered until tomorrow morning at 8am. Oh gee great! I can't wait to spend another several hours waiting in an empty house for their convenience. Cause you know that 8am estimate is bull!

  We moved from Ohio to Texas. UPack was timely in their call responses, both deliveries, and pick up. They provide tracking which allows you to see where the truck is with your belongings as well as where the next stop will be - updated daily. Everyone we spoke with was friendly and helpful. I appreciate the fact that they only store one residential household per truck. The rest of the space is used for pallets and what not; this made it easy to know we would not need to wait for other households to obtain their belongings before we had a chance. Heads up: pay attention to the packing recommendations they provide. We packed some of our boxes too heavy which caused those below to bend (our fault). Also, we did not use furniture blankets on some of our belongings which causes some scratches (again, our fault).

  An hour after dropping up movings pods, they made the mistake of picking them back up an hour later to ship to our moving destination. After calling to ask them to bring them back, they drop them off without calling this time in the wrong location. The driver then lied about dropping them off in the correct spot and hung up on us on the phone. Then the company's solution was to ask us to pay an additional 150$ for the pods to be moved to the correct location. Customer service was rude and unhelpful.
