Made a reservation for same day van rental online. Showed up to pick up van and gave them my card for payment. The employee looked at the card (Visa) and said they couldn’t take anything that didn’t have a Mastercard logo on it. Confused, I asked him to clarify and he replied they can’t take anything without Mastercard logo. Mind you I have rented from this U-Haul location quite a few times with the same card. Needless to say I’m not sure if he was trying to get cash from or if this is some new horrible policy. The website let me reserve with the card so why is it not good to pay with. I told the guy to cancel the reservation and left highly confused and befuddled. Never had this problem before but will never be back.

Well run place of business. Polite, helpful, clean. When I told the gentleman I would be back to pick up a truck, needed to find a restroom for a child…he told me they had one. It was clean too! I really appreciated all the help! Reasonable rates

At 1st I was a little annoyed that I had to go to this location b/c it was one literally less than 5 minutes down the street from where I lived @ the time, but it was by far the most pleasant experience from start to finish. When I first arrived no one was in off, but then the gentleman came & helped me through the booking helped me connect my equipment & showed me how to un-connect it. I had to come back the next day the get the rest of equipment that I needed to move & from start to finish Chuck was by far so helpful offered suggestions that made it easier for me, helped me connect & secure all my items & just was very pleasant to work with in this booking. I really appreciated his help as well as the other gentleman. Kudos to you both

Well, well, well... something must have changed here recently because my experience was top-freakin-notch compared to what these other reviews are saying. I reserved a 10' moving van for a few hours on a Sunday because I was getting a new bed. I needed the van to transport my old bed to a family member and my new-to-me sleep number bed from another family member to my place. A little while after I made my reservation online someone called and said my pick-up location needed to be changed but it was a short distance from the original one, so no biggie. Thanks for being so attentive. I arrived right on time and was able to park my car for the afternoon on the street for free. The gentleman that set me up with everything was nice and thorough, explaining all the ins and outs. They sell everything you would need to move inside their small retail shop. I grabbed two mattress sleeves for the beds, forgot them on the counter, and they were nice enough to refund me for them since I was already on the highway. I had absolutely no problem with the truck and checking it back in and getting a receipt was a breeze. For four hours, it was around $65, which I considered to be fair. Overall, I wouldn't have any hesitation to rent from here again.

Horrible service! The lady at the front was so rude and she lied about not having any moving trucks available. She also told us we had to reserve a truck online and when we went online we discovered that most trucks were available. We ended up going to another uhaul location because she was not willing to help at all.

This has to be the worst U-Haul location you'll ever go to. They want to turn you away more than they want to help you. I've tried to reserve three times here, on different occasions -- every time there's an issue and have to scramble to find another location. The mobile doesn't work, they don't have your vehicle (twice), charged for things you don't get. Save yourself the headache and choose another location. It's the closest to me and I've just wasted $30 on an Uber here and home to start over.

Be prepared for grudging and painfully slow customer service, especially from general manager who could not care any less. And I was the only customer in there. Also know that they don't accept the U-Haul promotions and pricing that are listed on the U-Haul.com website, including promotions listed for this location on Parsons Avenue. I even tried to show him the price listed on u-haul.com website on my phone but he didn't take the small effort to even look. The general manager said, "those prices and promotions are set by U-Haul Corporate and we don't do that." Better yet: drive out of your way to do business someplace else and avoid the aggravation.

Do not move your belongings here if you value them. I chose this unit because of its close proximity to downtown and the 1 month free rent promotion.1. The units all have incorrect measurements. None of them are actually 6’ tall as stated which can be a huge inconvenience if you plan to stack items or be able to walk into your unit without crouching down [i’m 5’5” for reference and could not walk in without bending down].2. The walls are made of a thin, wood/cardboard like material, and they have a serious pest problem. Every storage facility I’ve ever used is aluminum/steel.3. The ceiling literally fell in my unit, covering my items in debris and bugs and it became almost impossible to get it fixed. I was told I to move all of my items out of the unit so that they could complete repairs. When I asked where to relocate my items or if they could just give me another unit instead of waiting for the repairs, I received nothing more than a blank stare from Luis and then told to keep them on a truck or something…like I just have movers and a truck available to do that.4. The employees and manager are so unprofessional and inconsiderate. I mean nobody is expecting top tier customer service here…but at least be polite or show an ounce of consideration instead or being ornery and apathetic. As if moving isn’t stressful enough, every interaction with them is a pain after you move in. If you want to move your items to a place where nobody cares, go here. Otherwise, PLEASE save your money and go elsewhere!

I rented 2 trucks in the past 2 weeks here, and had nothing but an amazing experience! The staff is friendly, trucks are clean and the entire process is flawless.

I go out of my way to get my propane filled at the Parsons Ave Uhaul. Pete and his crew are the BEST! The customer service can't be beat. Highly recommend the Parsons Uhaul over any other Uhaul in Columbus.

Staff here are pretty miserable but I would be too if I owned this spot. Good enough for what it is. Get your uhaul and make as few interactions as possible with staff. They create problems as you go so get in and out ASAP.

We have only had poor experiences with this Uhaul facility, especially when trying to use the mobile pick up. This time, there was no dolly in truck even though we were charged for it (and really really needed it). Also, the website wasn’t working for us and it was a 45+ minute wait to get someone on the phone to help us pick up the truck, eating into the 2 hours we had reserved. Thought the first time might have been a fluke, but know now to avoid this place.

I rented a U-Haul and had to immediately reach out to the business to communicate that the gas gage in the vehicle did not match what they had it documented at. They told me that was okay and just to fill it back to where it was at. I payed for an estimated 40 miles and would be charged for anything over that and reimbursed for anything less. I ended driving 23 miles and filled the gas tank higher than what it was at when I left the lot. Today I called to see why I hadn't been reimbursed but charged again and was told that I drove nearly double the miles I actually drove. The man I spoke acknowledged that the gas gage was documented inaccurate but refused to acknowledge that the mileage was also documented inaccurately and than attributed their mistake to me and pretty much told me there was nothing they would do to fix this. That being said, make sure you document everything when using their services and don't leave the lot until they see them. Their computers are not accurate and they will charge you for their mistakes. Glad to be charged double U-Haul, thanks!!!!
