If you are a foodie in Columbus or just visiting you have to check this place out. From various European staples, like kielbasas, terrines, head cheese and deli classics like pastrami and mortadella to some gorgeous cuts of meet. Also cheeses, pickles, cabbage rolls. The pastrami is my personal favorite, but everything I've ever gotten here was amazing. This place is awesome! Great people, too!

I called in a special order for prime rib because my parents were visiting from out of town and we wanted to do something special. It was so nice to talk to someone on the phone who was able to help and describe the ordering process. When my parents and I picked up the order the butcher had already trimmed it and done some preparation of the meat which was so thoughtful. The meal was incredible. My dad said it was the best cut of prime rib he had ever had. I couldn't recommend The Hungarian Butcher enough. We definitely have plans to return for other special meal orders.

This place is the real deal! I had heard about it through a few facebook groups and been meaning to stop in. I did so after work today and man, am I glad I did! Great selection, knowledgable and caring owner who is passionate about his craft, and OMG is the food delicious!! Best Carne Asada I’ve ever had! Guac, sausage, and stuffed cabbage all on point! So many more things I want to try. This place is going to make me need to buy some new pants. Let’s keep this business thriving!

I appreciate their transparency where they source their meats.
Beside raw produce there are a lot prepared foods including cheese plates.
We tried the Sakura wagyu and it was delicious. The house made dill pickles were crunchy and good.

I’ve been going to the Hungarian Butcher for the last couple months, and my only regret is that I didn’t try them sooner. They have a great selection of fresh meat of all types. It’s locally sourced, and always delicious. It’s so much better, both in taste & nutrition, than what you get a a supermarket. They also have a number of cheeses, condiments, bone broth, tallow, etc. Not only is the meat top notch, but the entire staff is super friendly, knowledgeable and helpful!!! All this is why I’ve become a regular. LOVE THEM!!!

First off, my first impressions of the place were good - stopped here four times the past year (not sure how long they been open). The sausage and some items were decent, I've stopped here to try difference in quality/taste. I do realize the location does not seem ideal and it comes with a premium price (property taxes are very high in the area), but given that I just want to enjoy good beef/pork cuts. I called here to get a pork picnic/shoulder cut, wanted to try out their version. Much to my surprise the price was very high (over 10 times the price of my other location). I asked for the picnic cut, when it was on the scale I wanted to retract from buying it, but didn't want to disservice the staff working and ended up buying it (over $160 for the 13lbs. cut). As I mentioned, it was over 5 to 10 times the price of other places (including local butchers) I've been going to for years. The place is decent, but the pricing is very steep so be prepared. The place is nice and the front service area staff are helpful. They do have some other items such as pickled veggies, those I have to say are priced adequately and worth it. The Sausage was decent and decent price point.

They have amazing kolbasz and wonderful customer service! My family is hooked. It’s become a holiday staple to bring this back home for the holidays. We are so grateful to have such a gem near us.

Fantastic range of meats to choose from. Very helpful staff. I can't wait to return to explore more of the prepared goods in addition to the meat counter.

I’m a New Yorker that swears by Katz pastrami and through out my pregnancy I have been hounding my husband for pastrami. We came here for my birthday, grabbed a lb of pastrami and container of mustard. As soon as we got in the car I tore into the pastrami and all of my cravings subsided, if they weren’t about to close I would have grabbed another 4 lbs.So far I’ve made the classic pastrami on rye and substituted pastrami in for a carbonara (tastes just like a bacon egg and cheese).10/10 definitely would recommend and will be back again!

Well stocked. Everything looks fresh. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. We picked up Hungarian sausage, flank steak and some meats for a charcuterie board.

Nice little shop that has a great selection of sausages, charcuterie, and other prepared items made in-house. They also always have both black (blood) and white sausages fresh in the case. There are a few cheeses on offer along with some dry goods as well.
