I recently visited The Basement for the first time and the experience was unforgettable because of the featured performers and the crowd. The is no seating near the stage, but near the stage is the best view. There is limited seating. The opening act was Columbus’ own the beautiful & talented Ms. N’Shai Iman. The headliner the one and only Daley. Dimmer than normal lighting. Decent sound. Cement floors near stage. Long bar. Decent drinks. Psychedelic decor. Nearby parking for a fee.

Went to a show here last night, came all the way from Milwaukee to see this show, and it was kinda miserable. I would say AT LEAST 30% of the people who paid to be there couldn’t even see the artist. I would say only the first 40-60 in the venue will be able to see the artist without craning their neck. The fact that they sold as many tickets as they did is messed up. 300 cap venue, 300 for the entire space, maybe. But 300 in the actual venue/stage area, absolute not.If you’re seeing a show here, I hope you have the time in your day to wait in line ahead of doors to get in in the first 40-60 people in the venue, or else you probably aren’t going to have a good time.

The Basement is hands-down the worst venue l've paid to see a show at. The "stage" is actually BELOW floor level; there's space for 30-40 people directly in front, and every other view is either partially or fully obstructed. It's borderline unethical to sell 300 tickets to this space, when roughly 225 of those people quite literally cannot see any part of the stage. If you don't feel confident you'll be one if the first 30 people through the door, don't even bother buying a ticket, or worse, doing what I did and drive 3 hours from out of state & book lodging to see a show here.

Am at a show here right now and have been trying for the last hour min to find a place where i can actually see the freaking stage. I drive in from out of town and spent money on a hotel to apparently see this show from behind several rows of pillars. Who puts a stage in such an obstructed spot. I watched dozens of people spend the entire night trying to see the stage. Way too small for hot many tickets they sell. If you’re not in the first 75 people to enter the venue you WILL NOT be able to see a single bit of the stage. Worst venue I’ve ever been to. This pic was the best spot i could find after an hour of walking around this stupid place.

Loved the intimate setting. Saw Hail the Sun & others (rock genre) and had a great time. Awesome energy and great sound quality. Just wear ear plugs, as the small venue means you'll be right next to a speaker somewhere.Knocked down one star though because, oml, it was HOT. The show was in August, and the venue seems to have no ventilation with very low roofs. The ceiling was literally condensating from the humidity, and a number of the crowd and performers wound up shirtless by the end of the night.So... Maybe attend a winter show. And be ready to hydrate ?

Very small, intimate venue. There were less than 50 people at the show, one bartender, and a few staff members. The staff were courteous, the venue and bathrooms were clean. Would definitely go again! Photos attached were from standing front row in the pit.

dear god where do I begin. the line outside was a mess and nobody had any idea what line to be in because it was so unorganized. Inside, well over half of the crowd couldn't see the singer AT ALL. It was way, way overbooked but also just formatted in such an illogical way. Oh also it was HOT. Like, "seems like there's no AC" type of hot. Even if you are DYING to see someone perform and they're gonna be here, you still may want to reconsider because of how disappointing it will likely be.It's just actually shocking that this place exists lol
