Pretty sure they've just given up. Half the pumps are out of order and the other half have trouble reading cards. It's been like that for weeks now. You'd think a gas station in a busy area wouldn't have a hard time maintaining or upgrading their equipment, but this one proves otherwise.2 stars cause the staff is friendly.

With all of the salt on the roads at this time of year, we find ourselves using the car wash more frequently. This Speedway has a nice automatic touchless wash. Unfortunately, the new kiosk was put in a little too far back and at a slightly odd angle, so it's a little tricky to reach from some vehicles. Inside the car wash, it runs efficiently through the process. One neat touch that the kid is a big fan of is the lighting. Initially, it serves as a guide to get you lined up in the right position, as it turns on green at the start and then switches to red when it wants you to stop (accompanied by signage stating as such), but during the wash process the colors change, sometimes flashing, sometimes just a soothing blue during the soaping process. They also had rainbowy soap, so all in all, a very colorful experience. It does a great job at getting the wintery muck off! The one tricky thing is location - it's a heavily trafficked corner that makes it difficult to get in and out of.

The one time I came here a man got very close to my face and said he wouldn't rob me, but that he needed money/gas. I gave it to him in hopes he would leave me alone but it seems like individuals like this frequent this Speedway and do it often and the employees don't care, avoid if you can and go to Giant Eagle nearby instead.

This is a great location if you are looking to get robbed and maybe looking for a fix. The staff clerks are the rudest most obnoxious you can find anywhere they never answer the phone if you call to ask about a money order service or anything that they claim they offer. One day I must have called their landline number over 20 times over the span of 4 hours while they were open and they never answer the phone it was not even a busy night. I'm guessing this is a franchise place the owner and the whole management staff look like they're out on drugs every time I go there I pray that I leave alive what a joke of an establishment . shame on you speedway for allowing this shit show to happen.

This Speedway is kind of cursed with a bad location as it's easy to get but difficult to leave due to traffic both ways that's heavy in the afternoon. I did pay at the pump and was a bit annoyed at the constant speedway advertising overhead. I was not tempted to go in and check out all these marvelous deals I was hearing about because the store just looked old and there were many signs in the windows blocking the view should anything happen inside.

I am also just reviewing the car wash. As has been said, this Laser Wash is one of the best touchless washes in the city. I avoid the nearby farm themed wash that scratched the paint of my old car quite badly over the years. While touchless washes are not a 100% solution, it keeps your car decent between hand washing at home. If you don't have a driveway, I'd recommend checking out one of the waterless washes you can buy and use with a good microfiber towel. Works great especially after this gets the bigger dirt off, and is surprisingly fast. But I digress. The big caveat with Speedway is that I've had multiple times now when the wash apparently ran out of soap. If they did a better job maintaining it I would use it more often, but I hate spending the time and money to just get rained on. As for the filling station part, I can't speak to any of it as I have an electric car ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Would be a two star place if they got rid of the homeless people driving cars asking for money non stop. Don't think I've ever been here at this location and have someone not ask for money or a gallon of gas. If you didn't have gas or money, maybe you shouldn't be driving. This location needs a good cleaning and fix all the pot holes and curbs. Very run down for how much speedway makes here in a prime location.

WHAT HAPPENED TO THIS SPEEDWAY? Speedway must not be able to maintain consistency in their management teams. This store has typically been above-average to really a good strong store I have no idea about store performance in terms of corporate requirements. I do have my personal thoughts and feelings on employees, interior cleanliness, and a clean lot. For the longest time I would have been raiding this fours and fives and been so excited to write a review about how strong store employees seem to be and how proud I believe they were and maintaining an Exquisite interior store. I just don't know how the store has gone to complete crap. The interior filth and stench near the food area and the unkempt inventory and arrangement with cleanliness on the product shelves inside is just unlike what it used to be. From what I am observing it is totally in the major shifts in employees. When corporate doesn't seem to take it seriously to support their management teams then this is what they get. It is that location and the access to the pumps that keeps this store so busy. Totally it is all about the most amazing location available. If you stop to get gas look at the trash cans near the pumps are they still overflowing like they haven't been emptied and days? SPEEDWAY in the German Village area at 1165 S High St, Columbus, OH 43206 Should be avoided at all measures unless you want to get totally frustrated and potentially physically ill by eating any food inside the store or attacked on the parking lot near the pumps. This store is absolutely the scariest store that Speedway has in the Columbus area I believe and it is the dirtiest consistently filthy and if you were to get any kind of a fountain beverage coffee food you're taking your life in your own hands. Now go to SPEEDWAY at Great Southern, 3860 S High St, Columbus, OH 43207 and you will find as far to the opposite direction of these other two then you can't even imagine how clean how receptive how professional employees are. This store inside and out is spectacular. Yes it might be in an unknown area being located at the intersection of South High Street and the 270 South End. It is located they are Great Southern Shopping Center. The employees are always consistently professional they show initiative and concern always. The inside the bathrooms I don't care when are always clean the food area is spectacular and they give it so much attention. Inventory on interior products shelves arranged clean very very nice. And I have seen them work so hard on the lot that it's always clean and amazing how they keep the trash cans near the pumps so empty

I pull in here during rush hour traffic for a frappe and both machines are empty, and no attendant seems willing to service the machine. Totally frustrated! Wishing I would not have stopped to be confronted by a beggar and have to deal with trying to get back out of here. Almost impossible when traffic so heavy.

If you live off of King and you are headed to get on 315 south this is a good place to stop and get gas. The prices were low and they have plenty of pumps. They're pumping good gas.
