I wanted to take him to one where he can experience more of his Latino culture and feel comfortable going for a long time because his father is not around to take him to the store or teach him about that side of him. I was struggling to find a good spot. Although I know little Spanish myself, I felt it was best to find a good Latino hairdresser. My son loves going to listen to music and seeing other Latino boys/men who look just like him while they wait to get their hair cut. He always gets his hair cut by the same guy, the barber does an excellent job with it and my son stays very still, he's been going since he was 2 and now he's 3. My son always asks when he's coming back. comes out happy all the time.
