Trevor in the testing area is a dream. Super kind, courteous, professional and thorough (bonus- appropriately good sense of humor). You can tell they take pride in their work and they’re a really good fit for the job/responsibilities. Good and comforting people person. Couldn’t wait to leave a review giving the positive recognition they deserve and to share my appreciation.
Can’t speak too much to the shopping part of the store besides the one time I came about a year or two ago- I was able to locate every specific lil thing I was hoping to find to piece an outfit together. That was a remarkable stop and memory.

I have been thrift shopping all over the country for the last 40 years, and I have never seen such ridiculous prices anywhere in that entire time. RL Polo sweater shrunken to doll size, as thick as your thumb absolutely unwearable even by a chihuahua. Priced at $15. Filthy shoes, 15, 20, $35. Here's the thing - when you shop on eBay and pay eBay pricing, you get a guarantee. An eBay guarantee. When you shop at a thrift store, you should not be paying eBay prices, because you get nothing, no guarantee no nothing.

I love stopping by a thrift store any time I'm visiting a new city. Out of the Closet is a pretty big one in downtown Columbus. They have a selection of men's, women's clothing, furniture, shoes, CDs, artwork and books. This thrift store is extraordinary in what they do! 96% of each dollar goes towards aiding in HIV care and supporting those suffering with it. They offer free on site HIV testing. There were around 10 young men waiting to get tested. I really liked some of the furniture pieces and artwork in this store, unfortunately it was too big to bring back on my flight home with me. My friend purchased around 12 CDs at $2 each. I would love some of them too, but I haven't had anything to play CDs on in so long. Out of the Closet is a thrift store that supports a wonderful cause. Stop by when you're in the area!

Visited it for the first time on 30th October. I like that when I spend money here, it goes to a cause. A lot of different clothing options to look around, though plus size options are a little limited. I wore the clothes I bought here to an interview the next day and was offered the position on the spot so it is now my lucky store. For anyone wanting to support a cause, this is a great way to do it.

I can appreciate the cause the money goes to and will happily support. However, it seemed kind of small, and there wasn't much inventory that interested me on the day I went.

Found some great items here! They had some of my favorite brands like Anthropologie, Madewell, and Everlane for an affordable price.

Nice second-hand establishment for a cause. Free HIV testing. Good vintage furniture finds. Large floor. Lots of clothes for a fair price. Not the best selection though. Free condoms at check out.

I visited Out of the Closet Thrift Store, at 1230 N. High St. in the "Short North" neighborhood of Columbus, for my first time on 9-20-2023.I have walked by that store many times while on my way to and from events at Stonewall Columbus, one block to the south, but I had never actually visited there until recently. It had been fun to walk around Out of the Closet Thrift Store for thirty minutes or so and to see the many interesting items that they have for sale. Certainly, the items that they have for sale at that store will change every few days. The woman behind the counter told me that 96% of their sales go directly to the AIDS Healthcare Foundation’s HIV/AIDS treatment and care programs worldwide. Also available at the Columbus location of Out of the Closet Thrift Store are free HIV testing and a pharmacy. If you are looking for some "one-of-a-kind" items and you also want to support a worthy cause, I recommend Out of the Closet Thrift Store.
