The Ohio Craft Museum, operated by Ohio Designer Craftsmen, is a small but vibrant space dedicated to showcasing Ohio’s craft art. It hosts five major exhibitions each year, along with focus exhibits and a rotating display from its permanent collection. The museum also features the Craft Research Library and offers educational workshops and events suitable for all ages and skill levels. Funding is provided by local arts organizations including the Ohio Arts Council, Greater Columbus Arts Council, and the Columbus Foundation. Visitors often appreciate the museum’s cozy atmosphere and the variety of art pieces on display, including artwork, pottery, jewelry, and unique Christmas ornaments available in the gift shop. The gift shop, especially during the holiday season, is open with special hours and features five rooms filled with artisan and locally made items, making it a good place to find one-of-a-kind gifts. The museum’s exhibits are diverse and educational, such as the recent "Food Justice" display, which highlights community health through art and engages visitors with powerful visual and sound elements. Though the museum is not large, it offers interesting and unique crafts in a quiet, crowd-free environment. Admission is free, making it an accessible and worthwhile stop for those interested in regional art and craft. It is also a great place for craft camps and activities for children, adding to its appeal as a community-focused arts venue. Overall, the Ohio Craft Museum is a charming spot to explore Ohio’s craft traditions and enjoy thoughtfully curated exhibits.
One of my new favorite places! A lot of really cool stuff to see, a great way to find and support local artists, of any style. Some times they even have some of the artists set up in there working on making stuff. They also offer classes!

Quaint little place to see local people's craft projects. You won't find a Da Vinci here, but it gives a nice sense of community. Also, it seems that every single craft shown is also for sale, barring the ones in the lower floor.
