IMPORTANT TO NOTE: NO cellphone service inside building. Has thick concrete walls.
Active military and veterans get in free.
Was a beautiful memorial and building. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Lots of displays commemorating the history of our military. Would like to see more from coast guard and the new branch Space Force’ in the future. Roof and garden are beautiful

An incredibly well-done and touching museum focusing directly on the men and women who have served in the armed forces.
There are not a lot of artifacts on display as the museum focuses instead on the servicemembers themselves and their stories. Sit down, relax, and watch the videos that play throughout the museum. Read the letters.
The building itself is gorgeous, as is the view from the top of the museum

My 98 year old WWII veteran father in law served on the USS Maryland (battleship) in the Pacific theatre from October 1943 to January 1946….he loves to talk about his 2.5 years on that ship. As an eighth grade educated man from rural western Kentucky, he is a slow reader….so the Veterans Museum was a disappointment-he wanted to see actual weapons of war….not read & look at pictures…..I found it to be a wonderful tribute to veterans of all wars.
He was greeted by interested volunteers who also presented him with a certificate thanking him for his service.
Unfortunately he thought the Motts Military Museum, Inc. in Groveport was where he was going……he wanted to see the fire truck crushed by the falling Twin Towers….a failure on my part…..I’ll take him there next.

Well the pros are that it is a beautiful building, the staff that we encountered were very friendly. Active Military, veterans, and gold star family members get in free and park for free. We are veterans and gold star. There are a lot of stairs however there is an elevator, and bathrooms on each floor.
The cons are that it is quite underwhelming and not a lot on display. Some of the displays were very interesting, but the third floor is just a little tiny area. Basically nothing in the bottom floor. It is just some canvas paintings that people painted that are abstract. So many more artifacts could have been placed in this museum. Which is why we go. All of the fallen In Ohio, I at least thought they would have a wall or some listing from each war and their names. My brother was killed in Iraq, so we were not sure what we would encounter here. There were a few videos and little things to read, but not a lot. It's also not inclusive of all conflicts to honor all of our military, like it says it's supposed to be.
It's a nice place and I do recommend going. But be prepared for it to be very small. And nothing like other military museums I've been in. For people that have to pay the full rate plus parking to get in, I don't know that it's worth it.

The staff and purpose behind this museum is wonderful. It is a beautiful building and I liked how you could write letters of gratitude to veterans. However, I was disappointed in the lack of artifacts. It is mostly reading and listening and I would not recommend this memorial for children. As an adult, I got bored just listening and reading. Overall, I would recommend this memorial if you want to read about veterans and their historical past.

No less than outstanding. A great tribute to our veterans. Very educational. Every American, especially young ones, should experience the National Veterans Memorial. In doing so, they would begin to understand what was sacrificed by Veterans in order to keep our freedom and liberty here in the United States of America.Much thanks to the outstanding staff and volunteers in making this happen. With high regards, a Veteran himself.

Very attractive building and grounds; the inside of the building was pretty cool. All of the Armed Services were represented and various parts of the military life were showcased. This is a great place for Veterans to take family members and friends to show them what it meant to be in the military. The upper floor stained glass with the colors of various medals was fantastic!

My husband is a retired veteran and I always want to learn about his experiences- and about our great country. So when he suggested a visit - we went.We were greeted at the front door by a retired veteran (Jim). Not only did he share quite a bit about this amazing place, but gave us the feeling of belonging.I must admit, there were a few places that I felt a tear or two.We also went outside to the memorial gardens and waterfalls. Lovely.
