It’s such a shame because this location has increasingly slipped over the years. The store needs a good deep clean and should invest more carts and baskets. It’s so hard to find a basket almost everytime.

Go for the groceries, stay for the liquids.

If you don’t mind grocery shopping while being in the way of employees, having to get your own cart from the parking lot, and feeling as if you work part time while shopping it’s a great store. Sad this actually the ‘good’ one near my house. Low standards are abundant all over the place.

This is my local Kroger and the staff is helpful and courteous each time I shop. I wanted to especially call out Faith who handled a recent order of balloons for a family party. After being cancelled on last minute by a well known party store Faith, the Floral Manager, took our order over the phone and reassured us we could still make the day beautiful. When we went to pick up the order, she really delivered! The balloons were perfect and she saved the day. I will continue to use this store for my party needs and appreciated all of the effort put in on our behalf. Thank you Faith!

If you are buying more than 10 items the self service takes FOREVER due to needing assistance multiple times. Can we please have a full service check out! This isn’t a corner store. People buy big hall groceries here! Also, digital coupons NEVER work and shelves are regularly empty

The store is dirty. The clerk at the deli counter make you wait while one of them decides to get your order. Many of the workers are lazy, rude and angry. I ended up going to Giant Eagle because they were out of stock of many things. I promise that I will never shop at any Kroger’s again.

The selection is good and produce fresh, when it is in stock. Items are very frequently out of stock. It's dirty. There are not enough grocery carts. There are almost always incredibly lengthy lines with multiple closed self checkouts and closed in person checkouts. It could be much better, but they know they no longer have any competition, as they are the only close option for a well populated group of neighborhoods. I just wish Kroger management put a little more effort into this store. We would go here much more often.

Great selection of goods ? Shelves were stocked. Employees where moving with a purpose security guard was polite.

Kroger recently started promoting products with red/yellow tags. These tags have historically been automatically discounted (no additional action necessary). Now you must “clip” the coupon on the Kroger app (see fine print in bottom right corner: “with card and digital coupon”). This will negatively impact so many families who aren’t watching their receipts closely. Horrible move by Kroger. This tactic should absolutely be fixed and never used again. Buyer beware.

Decent location and selection, but it irks me to stand in line at the only checkout with capacity to hold the groceries I purchased while I check MYSELF out. Staff stands around watching me wait. I only come here once a week and I buy enough food to last me for the week. I don't mind self checkout, but why only one open while four families wait to pay? While I believe that Kroger's corporate objective is to drive me to online ordering, they've not invested enough in the infrastructure to assure that I order online from them.

This used to be the nicest Kroger in town I don’t know what’s happened if it’s different management I’m not sure but I spent 200 and some dollars didn’t get very much food for that we all know how far that goes still with my hard earned working money I come outside there’s so much trash that’s blowing all over me on my car stepping on food and smashed into the ground being approached by homeless people begging for money they walk right up to your car looking in your car that’s ridiculous I’ll never go back I’ll find me a Kroger if I have to drive an hour away but that’s insane it’s trashy the floors are dirty on the inside it’s stinks it’s used to be so beautiful and so nice but it’s as trashy as the Parsons Kroger now what a shame

***Reposting My Recently Deleted Review (from 2012): I did go to this Kroger when I moved downtown 13 years ago. The King Ave. Kroger had not yet been rebuilt; and it seemed like it was always ransacked and out of, basically, everything. This Kroger seems bigger than that south campus Kroger. This Arena District German location looks and feels like it has more aisle space - a big deal in the urban core. Their organic and vegetarian sections have more variety, too I feel this is the best store around the downtown area. However, King Ave. Kroger is closer to home, so it all basically boils down to how much "variety" I'm looking for on a grocery shopping outing.

Dirty dirty dirty. This store has gone down hill ever since the avian Eagle in German Village closed. With zero competition in the area Kroger corporate has neglected this store. I went shopping on a Saturday around 11;00am. There were no shopping carts available inside (I tend to out my groceries in a shopping cart). So I walked outside to get my own cart. Mr Kroger if you want my money I expect clean stores with shopping carts available.
