I took my 6 year old to get her first ear piercing, had a very bad experience. The girl who did the piercing didn’t have any experience she was panicking and wanted help with both the piercing her coworker was more confident but was a very rude person. She was on the phone rather than helping her coworker. My daughter was in pain. Both the times this girl messed up with the piercing. And that women was not at all helpful she just wanted to run back to her phone. Please don’t go to this place.

Awful experience. We went with our friend to get her daughters ears pierced (almost 3 years old). Claire's was closed for some reason, so we decided to go to Icing since they are affiliated. We stood and waited while two other little girls got their ears pierced. By the time it was our turn, the store employee got weird and started asking if the child would be able to stay still and "behave". Side note: When I say we waited, we waited almost an hour because the other children were too scared and kept stopping the piercers / crying to their moms about being scared. When we told the store employee that she would be ok, the piercer started making up different excuses as to why she couldn't do it. At first, she freaked out because the people before us "left without the cleaning solution". Then she started freaking out because she "couldn't find her phone" and started swearing in front of a bunch of children. We ended up leaving without getting her ears pierced. We will find somewhere else and stay away from the small shops with piercing guns. This was a whim of the moment kind of thing and the employees at Icing really reminded me of why I stopped coming into these stores.

1 word... wack. management? absolutely f****** embarrassment. sending workers from icing to go work at claire's, not compensating them for willing to work at a place they didn't even agree to work at. over working the f*** out of them and i'm talking 3 weeks straight no days off. only time they get time off is when they go over the b**** a** DM's head and beg for it. absolutely no concern for the people that actually work there as long as numbers are good they couldn't give a f*** about the workers. can't keep employees bcz management is a f****** joke. and brandi, if you see this, go f*** yourself you're a piece of s**** asking people to work on their ONE DAY OFF a week. she shouldn't even be a damn district manager bc she is A** at it. god forbid she actually have to work open to close but has noooo problem making her employees do it

Got my sons ears pierced and they made the back too tight and wouldn’t fix it. Told me to take him to the doctor, there was nothing they could do for us. I spent $85 there on his earrings! Now I have to pay for a doctor visit. Stay away from this place!

I always come to polaris but the last few times I've gone into Claire's have been awful.the icing store is fine, with friendly and trendy employees. I honestly have no idea what is going on in the Claire's store tho. The employees are rude, and awkward. They don't want to help you. I was looking for a phone charger and a rude older women said "we only have cords" I told her that's what I was looking for and i needed help finding them. They seemed annoyed that I asked for assistance. Another experience I had, I was looking at nose rings and a younger girl, very weird and unsettling by the way, said that the fake ones were on a different rack, i explained to her that I was getting my nose pierced next week, and I just wanted to check out the different jewelry they had and look at the prices. She then told me "oh well we only do ear piercings, and we don't pierce cartilage either" this I already knew and I never said that I was getting it done there. She then kept going and told me I'm not supposed to change the jewelry until it healed, which I also knew and didn't ask her for her opinion on that. All in all, very disappointing, it felt like she was trying to convince me not to buy anything. Won't spend my money there again.

I sing, professionally. And when I'm at Polaris, I visit Icing... professionally. This store is always the icing on the cake when we're wandering around the mall at Polaris in Columbus. They have some pretty nice accessories and some girly glittery stuff which Barbie appreciates. On the other hand - Prices are high. And we both kind of prefer Claire's to be honest.

Pretty nice. Like Claire's, they do pierce ears here! There are many places in this mall with ear piercing places in fact... So it won't be to hard to find a place! The two that seem to be the most popular are Claire's and Sweet+Sassy. They have a little more teens stuff and mostly no little girl things.

Stay far away from this store-- the customer service is sincerely lacking. Telling your customers to "get the fu@k out of my store b!tch" is no way to represent a brand.
